How about the restriction that prevents trade deals with countries outside EU without getting EU approval first.

Tjat is an intrusion into our sovereignty as an independent country.

Yes they did and I speak from first hand experience. Their assistance released many of our troops that would otherwise have had obligations elsewhere.

I will happily concede that behind the scenes, there were "arrangements" and "understandings"that like you say, will one day see the light of day, maybe.

But in terms of hardware and political support, things were less public. I think we can leave it at the re the Falklands?
