The best decision Brown made was not to join the euro, which Blair desperately wanted. However, it wasn't a well thought out financial/economic decision, it was just because Blair wanted it and Brown didn't want him to have it.

Brown was an idiot. He ‘led’ nothing, the USA took the lead, we followed......
Don't patronize me lad.....you know exactly what I mean....just look after yourself and feck everyone else...that's your kampf isn't it?We, were the U.K.. Perhaps you could explain what points you are really trying but failing to make....
Interesting stuff but a motivational speech at the G20 is hardly the only thing Obama did to stabilize the economy.I could delve into the archives and pull any number of articles to say why that is untrue but I'll start with these:

G20: Gordon Brown brokers massive financial aid deal for global economy
G20 world leaders agree on $1.1 trillion injection of financial aid into global economy to speed recoverywww.theguardian.com
Having read multiple political memoirs that cross into that same event, they all follow the same narrative that Brown came up with the plan to deal with the crisis and the only thing Obama did was at the G20 he made a passionate speech to the other leaders to say why they needed to follow that plan.

The party will involve "sitting in a deck chair with Dutch chips, French wine and German beer, watching Britain as it closes itself off."

Thousands of people have signed up on Facebook to a Dutch beach party for Brexit, featuring food from across the European Union to mark Britain's departure. Created by media worker Ron Toekook, the event calls for partygoers to meet at the seaside village of Wijk aan Zee near Amsterdam on 31 October, the date Britain is meant to leave. More than 7,000 people have already said they will attend, while 52,000 others are interested.
"It will be a nice goodbye to a good friend who is going on an exciting adventure, but is perhaps not too bright," Mr Toekook told the Dutch news agency ANP.

Pete, Joey and the rest of the Brexit Irregulars have got their own party planned at Dover in response:

He had to put that through the house of course which is no easy feat, but the point I'm making is that he was following what Brown had come up with therefore it is wrong to suggest that the USA led and we followed.
“Ghouls and Fools” perhaps? We are arranging a Brexit party at our pub. Either we will be celebrating Brexit, Halloween or both, either way we will have a great night......
