Had to laugh at the irony of this paragraph from that report .......

Industry Secretary Tony Benn said: "When the British people speak everyone, including members of Parliament, should tremble before their decision and that's certainly the spirit with which I accept the result of the referendum."

If only we had politicians of that ilk today.

Why? He was a political extremist with a nice voice. A left-leaning Benjamin Netanyahu if you like :coffee:

The free movement of people was part of the original Treaty of Rome, so you're saying you're happy with that to stay?
See my latest post, Bruce. I'm leaning towards favouring another referendum. Sometimes my bloody-mindedness gets in the way of reason. If I can multi-task then I probably have a strong female side. It means I also have the right to change my mind.

Reuters......

"In Biarritz, the EU side will hold its ground on Brexit," said one EU official dealing with Brexit. "We don’t expect much to be agreed on Brexit there, even if some interesting exchanges may take place."

EU sources said Brussels was instead waiting to see if Britain's parliament, where a small majority is also opposed to leaving the bloc without a deal, could force Johnson into delaying or halting the exit process.

And there ladies and gentlemen of the remoaner party is what it’s all about.......

I know you tend to like politicians who lie and change their stance on a daily basis, but the EU have been consistent throughout - they don't want Britain to leave, and don't believe it benefits either party for us to do so. The problem Brexiters have always had is that you've insisted that they will shift this stance in the weight of what you perceive to be overwhelming British evidence, but unfortunately that largely only exists in your own minds.

Right .. I need to say this joe and honestly I don’t mean to be offensive at all. You may have voted out but you have absolutely no idea of what you voted for. It’s highlighted throughout this thread how little you actually understand and you refuse to debate any point brought up by anybody else who asks you to attach any reason to your arguments. You copy and paste extracts from speeches and reports to back you up but let’s be honest.. you’re understanding of the complexities of what you are posting is next to non existent.... as is mine I might add. Basically joe, in layman’s terms.... you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about half the time and the other half of your time you are making posts backing up my first statement. You’re basically a wum joe ... an Ill informed wum. Sorry mate.
That goes for everyone who post on this thread so just pick on me hey ho goodbye and good riddance to this thread came back on it for an age same people remainers bar two with the same rhetoric imo it's turning blues on blues goodbye on this thread for now should have been closed down like the last time
