So the Paras, the Marines, the Garda, the RUC, gun emplacements and watch towers were just there for funsies then?

Thats the crux mate. And you have the gall to say its the EU problem. But wait, you knew ALL this before you voted.
We all knew that no-one Inthe UK wanted a return to share boder..

Only an issue raised by the EU to try to sell the Irish down the river to try and stop Brexit hence the big smokescreen they have played...
Boris will sort it out ......

Thats that then. So free movement of people then. Fine by me.

Its good in principle freedom of movement, however, it cant be ignored freedom of movement. There needs to be coordinated approach in managing influxes of people coming in, various infrastructure needs closely looking at so to support every one adequately . Its really a dereliction of duty from our own governments right down to local authority and health board level that our services are not managed better. However, I dare suggest those who benefit most economically from freedom of movement don't care much for those pressures...

Ditto you asked for the 1922 Irish freedom of movement I gave it you- you the truth wriggle out of that ......I give up as goods transported over the borders before we joined the EU ......

No, you didn't 'provide the truth' you dodged the question yet again and just plumped for the soundbite 'nobody in the uk wants a hard border' rather than engaging with something that you either don't understand or are willing to lie about.

Newsflash, pal: Governments sometimes have to take actions that they don't want to do, and that they aren't sure about public support for, because of situations and the actions of countries around them. Was it on Thatcher's 'to do' list to send men to die in the Falklands? What if the Argentinians had invaded and Thatcher just said "we don't want a war therefore won't be having one".

Did Europe's governments in 1914 just all decide Belgium's countryside needed a makeover?

I please don't fetch World Wars into an EU thread.......

The act was passed by a British PM in 1922 .....

So what? Do you honestly believe that the "No one wants a return to a hard border in Ireland" refers to 1921?

If so, I refer you to my "Most leavers didnt know what they were voting for" post, because yet again, you have proved it.

I'll just accept your answer as "no you wouldn't have voted for it" then and accept your concession that there are varieties of Leave that some Leave voters do not want and would not have voted for, and by extension your admission that Leave voters didn't know what they were voting for.

Thanks for playing, good night.
More make believe.

the
The was no hard border in 1922 the troubles are over only the EU are stiring the pot plus you ......no border goods can travel as they do now with different taxes and Different rates of VAT .....
If that problem is overcome by HMR so can basic goods....
