Almost like no one ever started to design and build it because they wanted the current Withdrawal Agreement....three and a half years wasted.......

Do you think BorderTech Inc would have hid their light under a bushel all this time? Sat by the phone waiting for Boris to get his fat fingers into the dial? Presumably such designing and building has now been undertaken? I'm curious who the company/s is that the government are working with.

A double edged sword... I see that the yellowhammer report (does anyone know how old it is ?) is stirring up a lot of emotion but it really is double edged. Remainers would like to think it will scare us all into delaying Brexit again, while those in Dublin are now saying that if this happens to the U.K., food, medicines etc etc, it will be even worse for them, and so pressure mounts for getting rid of the backstop......funny how these things work themselves out.....
A lot of things may run out but only because idiots rush to the shops to stockpile on certain items because they believe the scaremongering, thus allowing the no-deal sceptics to say they told us so.

Why ?....

I think if folk said "Could be" instead of "Will be", folk would, or indeed, could, make a better point. Like in my little corner of UK Plc, I have no idea what sort of deliveries I will be making in the weeks following leaving. I have no idea where any of it is made, (I am assuming coffee is imported at some point though).

But IF there are problems with logistics, IF there are problems with petrol, and IF there are problems with pharmas, then yes, my life and that of my ill partner, could be a little bit affected. (And when I say a little bit, I mean an awful lot).

So thats Why ? But I dont think for one nano second you would care a jot.

A recent study from the RSA found that around half of respondents would struggle to pay an unexpected bill of £100. There may be many reasons for that of course, but it would appear to leave an awful lot of people in a very precarious place, and vulnerable to even the slightest disruption in their economic fortunes.

I'm sure blokes like Pete and @TyphooToffee have a bit more of a buffer, hence why they can be blase about things, but you would hope they would also be aware enough to appreciate that many don't have that luxury.

I am not going to prostrate my personal life on the internet, like no one would be arsed anyrate, but suffice to say that the last 12 months have been "difficult". We are ok, just about, but like the RSA study alludes to, unexpected cross winds could be less than helpful.

So when those cross winds could be inflicted by the Winners, one tends to get a tad annoyed at their self entitled "I am ok Jack" attitude.

It actually makes me want to puke.
