Christ. You even believe, or at least swallow the idea trotted out by those beauts that the Brexit Party is new. Its a name change. Like Snickers.

UKIP still exists though Roydo, so to say it’s a name change is quite a harsh thing to say......

But as you said, it was a U.K. vote, not a Scotland, NI, Liverpool or London vote. So doesLondon get a chance to remain within the EU ?. We voted as the U.K. we leave as the U.K......
London is in England. It would have to become an independent nation. That will never happen because Londoners believe they ARE England. This whole Brexit thing has come as a big shock to them because they are accustomed to getting things their own way.

Scotland and NI are already countries in their own right. If they don't want to be in the UK, or if they would rather be part of the EU than be part of the UK, then let them vote.

I think (not 100% sure and I don’t claim to be an expert on anything political) that Wales benefit more financially from being in the EU. If there were a vote for independence now I believe there’s a chance wales would vote to split from Westminster and stay in the EU..... but that’s only my opinion.

Wales wouldn't - in addition to the ludicrous creatures that are the Welsh Farming Tories, there are too many of the Pete and Joey class who retired to Rhyl, Prestatyn and along the north coast, and the posher sort who live in Camarthenshire and along the Gower. This is why there is (was) such a UKIPpy presence for ages, as well as a very resilient Tory vote.

Also Welsh nationalism is very different to Scots and Irish.

Unfortunately this is true. You'd need the major southern cities to be swayed by independence to overcome the tory/ukip presence. They have no interest in Plaid and never have. Two completely different cultures.

Huge job losses may change things though.

Think Welsh independence was around 50-50 and gaining from a recent, small sample poll. Yea, it got a lot of money from the eu, because it's one of, if not very close to being the poorest eu region.

I don't think it will - unlike Scots and Irish independence, Welsh independence at its heart is about Britain itself and not Wales. As you say there is an incredible difference between North and South anyway.

I live in the north and it’s very similar to the situation in England where everything is concentrated on the South.

I don't know mate. Certainly Wales were one of the areas of the UK to benefit from EU funding but I don't think it's as much as you would think. I read somewhere it was abut £600m per year and mainly through agricultural policy ad regional development grants. Given that Wales, as an area, had I think the second to lowest GDP of the UK, I would imagine that it would have been getting heavily subsidised by Westminster too. By how much I don't know.

It's one of those. They probably may have been better off as part of the UK being in the EU rather than out, but not necessarily being part of the EU but outside of the UK, if that makes sense. NI is the same, except it could join forces with the rest of Ireland and rely on them to pick up the deficit.

Westminster have cut budgets drastically.... I work for local government and for the last few years we have had cuts in budget totalling millions.

Not everyone Kurt.

I spoke to some slug I vaguely knew in my local pub not long after the referendum. He said he'd voted to remain basically because he hated the East Europeans less than he hated the Blacks and Asians. But I agree with you in that he was probably one of the few racists who isn't too thick to realise that ending free movement with the EU will actually open the door to increased immigration from outside the EU, and that these will most likely be predominantly of none white ethnicity.
This makes no sense
