I stated the EU did it on our behalf -Yes, and that is not what you said. You said:
We do not trade with the WTO.
The EU’s executive arm — speaks for all EU member States at almost all WTO meetings.

What do they sit on it for then fun?Again, that is not what you said, nor is it relevant to roydo's point anyway. Being a member of the WTO does not require you to trade on WTO terms only.
No actual replyYou're giving me a headache Joe. You did say you weren't going to post here any more though, which I think did you good.
What do they sit on it for then fun?
Like John Bercow now hey Bruce-
Trade with the EU matters a lot, but slightly less than it used to
About 44% of UK exports in goods and services went to other countries in the EU in 2017—£274 billion out of £616 billion total exports.
That share has generally been declining, since exports to other countries have increased at a faster rate.

The EU’s share of the world economy has been declining too. In particular, the developing world has been growing faster than the developed world and is expected to continue doing so. .......
What do they sit on it for then fun?
to agree rules and to settle disputes
TBH it is a bit mad that you want to take back control of our trade by falling back on terms set at the WTO
What's the point in solving a solution?some people aren't prepared to even think about solving a solution when they don't think there should even be a situation.
its very unhelpful, and quite shallow minded
We trade with the WTO?We already trade with the WTO on the EU behalf they do it for us- we are not independent to strike better deals......
Well why does the EU sit on the WTO as remainers state it is rubbish.......To agree rules, to make sure everyone is playing nice, that sort of stuff.
Why do you think countries agree trade deals if WTO terms are so great mate?
That's why I want us to leave rather the UK did our deals not have our hands tied.....Some of the non-EU countries we will be dealing with are probably done under trade deals with the EU.
Every WTO member has a list of tariffs (taxes on imports of goods) and quotas (limits on the number of goods) that they apply to other countries. These are known as their WTO schedules. The average EU tariff is pretty low (about 2.8% for non-agricultural products) - but, in some sectors, tariffs can be quite high .......We trade with the WTO?
This is big news!
Isn't it ? 2 posts earlier...You continue to miss the point. This is not about who to point a finger at or blame, it’s about developing a solution.....
Maybe it is you that continues to miss the glaring contradictions in your own points. The issue I have is that the EU have deliberately used the border issue as a political ploy to delay or undermine Brexit ever happening, and wilfully ignored potential solutions.
