That's why I want us to leave rather the UK did our deals not have our hands tied.....
come on here to celebrate Corbyn's face losing his proposal and Bercow's today and I cause mayhem - @Bruce Wayne is correct better staying off this thread as when I google alternative facts it upsets posters the facts they do not like .......

"alternative facts" is certainly an interesting description

also joey, if you sign up to WTO rules then your hands are tied

Every WTO member has a list of tariffs (taxes on imports of goods) and quotas (limits on the number of goods) that they apply to other countries. These are known as their WTO schedules. The average EU tariff is pretty low (about 2.8% for non-agricultural products) - but, in some sectors, tariffs can be quite high .......
Built for Edward I, by Master James of St George, the castle is amongst the finest surviving medieval fortifications in Britain. In a word, exceptional. You can’t fault it, from the grandeur of its high towers and curtain walls to its excellent state of preservation. An estimated £15,000 was spent building the castle, the largest sum Edward spent in such a short time on any of his Welsh castles between 1277 and 1307. Money well spent....

Anyway, there are those who are happy to stand on their own two feet and do the best they can (Brexit) and those that need to be ruled and told what to do by people on the continent (Remain)......

I think you meant to say "there are those who have spent the last forty years living in the EU and have done the best they can" there

In essence thats what all trade deals are, they tie you into the country you trade with and the bigger they are the more we the UK will need to bend over with our hands tied behind our back, rules of the jungle. Trade is all about unifying rules and regulations as countries coalesce around common standard.
We will get a free trade deal so what's wrong being independent?

Brexiteers can yapper nonsense away all day long about America and unicorn free trade, blah blah blah, it wont be free, it rules and regulations which in-turn will impede us making further trade deals. Because any country bigger than us will look to exploit us for their gain. 5G and Huawei being a case in point!

Because they aren't going to be free trade deals; they are going to be deals where one weaker party is given terms by the other, stronger party - the US, the EU and China (and that is if the US even lets us trade on decent terms with the EU or (especially) the Chinese). Just look at their reaction to May's decision on Huawei, or the list of things they wanted from a UK-US trade deal.

Or ask yourself what standards, laws or practices you expect the US to change on its side of the pond as the result of a UK-US trade deal.
