Have you heard many lies coming out from the remain camp? By it's very nature they were championing the status quo, so you get what you are already getting - no need for extravagant claims. There is obviously what you guys label as 'project fear', but in most likelihood it would cause a lot of issues for us if we left with a no deal, so you can't really go against that.

It is the leave side that are making things up to get what they want and not necessarily what the general public want.
The remain side told lies and continue to do so... on here........
Its the most one sided thread ever most sane people have stopped posting -
:bye:

Why do think of things in absolutes?

I don't think applies universally. And not challenging or accepting things in good faith doesn't make you thick.

But there were clearly lies and half truths told by those campaining for Leave which have been categorically proven to be wrong.

Now if I were someone lied to and I made a commitment based upon that and it was later shown time and time again to be a lie, I wouldn't keep accepting it. It might not be the sole reason I made for my decision, so I might not reserve it, but if it were, then I'd consider it a bad decision.
Oh stop backtracking for god sake.

You posted a comment saying leave voters blamed everybody but themselves for Brexit not being pushed through. When I pulled you on it you came up with the buyer beware statement, which can only mean we all bought the lies being told in the leave campaign. That old chestnut.

Yes it is tedious. And the most annoying thing about it is the assumption that we all believed what we were being told and that it made us vote the way we did.

It seems common among Brexit supporters to still believe their dream is a great one, but that those implementing it (or one of the other groups Jebus mentions) have sabotaged it in some way. The point many seem unwilling to accept is that their dream was always a turkey, despite many wiser people than post on here telling them that it was. Their concerns were dismissed as project fear and that these experts are not needed, so people ploughed ahead regardless. So yes, leave voters should take responsibility, as should the leave campaigners who dismissed concerns as project fear.

I'd love to see you name them and explain why they are lies, with evidence.
Read the phamlet that was sent out .......
Oh still waiting for the emergency budget if we dared voting out plus the recession if we dared voting out, also the drop in houses prices if we dared to voting out oh and the massive unemployment if we dared to vote Out -
Still waiting for the plague of locust too....... :bye:

It begins by talking about the concessions Cameron was able to secure prior to the referendum before providing some stats on UK exports to the EU by industry. Presumably you're not disputing either of those pages?

It then goes on to highlight the benefits of EU membership for individuals, with things like easy travel abroad, lower air fares, eradicated roaming charges and access to healthcare some of the benefits mentioned. These are facts, so again, I presume you're not disputing these?

Voting to leave the EU would create years of uncertainty and potential economic disruption. This would reduce investment and cost jobs. The Government judges it could result in 10 years or more of uncertainty as the UK unpicks our relationship with the EU and renegotiates new arrangements with the EU and over 50 other countries around the world. Some argue that we could strike a good deal quickly with the EU because they want to keep access to our market. But the Government’s judgement is that it would be much harder than that – less than 8% of EU exports come to the UK while 44% of UK exports go to the EU.

That's from page 8, the what happens if we leave section. We've had three years of uncertainty and are no nearer to having a resolution, and this has resulted in reduced investment and a number of major employers moving on. No claims of mass unemployment, no mention of house prices falling, nothing about recessions, emergency budgets, or locusts.

That's it. The remainder of the pamphlet talk about the ability of the government to control migration, and the benefits of EU membership in terms of things like free movement, Erasmus and all that jazz, before concluding that they think it's in our best interest to remain.

You bang on about Googling an awful lot Joe, yet despite mentioning that bloody leaflet what must be 100s of times, you seem to have no earthly idea what's even in it.

Can't bring myself to watch it. What went on?

Gammon went berserk....shouting down every reasonable point made about climate change and Brexit.

They applauded some arl bugger who puts climate change down to the fact that too many people live in Africa these days......he wound up ranting and raving about everything.

In the end both them and the arl bugger were totally owned by the Green woman and Vince Cable.

The Labour and Tory representatives were like rabbits in the headlights however..

But one fact was glaringly obvious and has been almost since she got the job....that BBC woman chairing it these days is not up to the task.

Every week she loses control of the panel....thus week she lost control of the audience as well.
