if @peteblue seems cranky now, just wait until after he learns he's unwittingly voted for the state to cut off his porn supply!

better start building bridges now, Pedro, if you want us feckless Remain millennials to teach you how the VPN works!

No probs mate, I’ve set up a new company producing the stuff......

lets face it , the word Nazi should be nowhere near this thread.

.
Too true mate. Some people need to take their own advice and actually read up on what happened in Germany in the 1920s. If they did I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be comparing the National Socialist party to any other group of individuals that existed either before or after.

It was a unique set of circumstances that culminated in the Nazis coming to power in Germany, and it all started with an alarmingly high number of ambitious and incredibly driven sadistic sociopaths somehow managing to come together at the same time. It's a little known fact that practically all of the high ranking Nazis were party members from the very beginning when they were a small group in Bavaria.

We have always had our own fascist elements in the UK, and the current lot are no worse or more popular than those that came before them. In fact I would argue that the National Front were a lot more active in the 70s and 80s, as were Oswald Moseley's lot in the 30s. But even scumbags such as these could only be compared to the Nazis in their dreams. Even in it's infancy, the National socialist party had their own military arm, the Brown Shirts, and it's own highly organised youth following, and they controlled the people around them through ruthless intimidation and violence. And that was over 10 years before they even came to power.

To even think about comparing members of the ERG to Nazis (which I've seen quoted oft on here and by some politicians) is not just insulting to those concerned, but shows a huge level of ignorance of just how evil these people were.

For crying out loud, some folk read what they want and seem to ignore the rest.

No one on here is calling anyone else a nazi. What some are doing is referencing the situation in early 1930's Germany that allowed the seeds of it to germinate, as being a bit similar to parts of the UK now.

Yep, reversing the result of a national vote has unexpected consequences. But we are a different people, in a different time, and I think any references to Nazis or Racists is disgraceful tbh........

Old Nigel working his magic again. May will now sell out to Corbyn to get a deal so that the elections can be cancelled and the Brexit party do not humiliate her at these elections.....

Indeed......

If you were talking about populism then I'd agree. Possibly even fascism to a lesser degree.

But the Nazi party were a one off mate. It's the word Nazi that people are objecting to, as in Hitler's Nationalist Socialist party. They were a unique group of individuals and it was a unique set of circumstances that brought them to power. And it was the 20s, not the 30s when this was happening. I truly believe that will never happen again.
