joey the last thing the Eu want is a border in Ireland
I'm not saying a deal cant be done ,it can,but it will be on the EU's terms, not Britain's.
The tax difference(I'm assuming you mean corporation tax) is as much an issue for the EU as it is for Britain, but its a sovereign decision by the Irish government and not the EU.
1922 the agreement of free movement into the UK is still law ... the borders only went up for the sad troubles - a good friday agreement was sorted are you saying if we had not been in the EU the negotiating teams would not have sorted it?
Of course they would - this is a smokescreen by the EU and the Remainers to scupper Brexit, and it seems to have worked - also @ Bruce Wayne on trade deals is it really wise for us to be tied to one organisation on deals...... standards etc etc
The first thing I learnt in my job was never put all your eggs in one basket.......

Joey Britain is afraid and rightfully so that if EU produced goods enter the north freely from the republic then they can be shipped to Britain with no tariffs.
A smugglers dream

The like of me....you haven't been following my position strongly in this thread. I'd also say that the statement is such a lazy generalisation - the sort you seem to get up in arms about when it is on the other foot and people brand leave 'racist'.

I'll ask you again Joey, what future relationship was agreed at the referendum? The intention to leave was given, which if we accept it, was to leave, but what was the consensus future relationship that we voted on?
Independence to strike deals - never put all your eggs in one basket , and one that is failing The Eurozone is in crisis... the Far right are gaining momentum - what happens if it goes belly up they will be back to us with a bigger begging bowl.......

there was a customs border prior to the troubles.
In fact EU membership facilitated a customs union which was a major contributing factor to the GFA

In 1922 the Irish Free State was a Dominion and its citizens were British subjects, with a right to travel, live and work in the UK. However this freedom of movement was curtailed during World War II.
yes Joey, there was free movement of people but not goods because there were two different markets. This changed after the customs union which made the GFA possible.
There's no smuggling of legal goods because there's a customs union.

I'll take that as 'ive no idea, because nobody knows, but I'll pad it out with some bluster'

As for the far right, you've decided you're happy to vote for people that want to throw their lot in with them...

As Emlyn has said, it's the same thing as far as I know. Not all nations allow it (Czech doesn't, for instance), and obviously citizenship criteria differs from state to state. With most places however, if you're wealthy and are investing a decent chunk in a country then that always seems to expedite things.
The Irish Government has allowed this for years.
People from Arab nations could literally buy Irish passports,
Chinese nationals now do it.
I read an article in a Portuguese property magazine that stated that if you spent 500,000 euro on a property you could claim Portuguese citizenship.
Its a wonder we never did this for Henry

good googling Joey.
I find it pretty telling that you've posted on here almost hourly for years about Brexit.
The success of Brexit is dependent on the resolution of the UK land border issue, yet you don't seem to know the history of your own border.

Joe's a remainer at heart but Mafia Marco put his tick in the wrong box and poor Joe has spent two years trying to reconcile himself with the racist future Marco set out for him. When he gets a bit muddled it's only understandable.

Frank is the same but Marco pulled a few strings and created a new identity for him.
Wouldn't be the first time Frank got a new identity lol

Your comment was (tellingly) inaccurate. Europe's relative prosperity is due far more to violence and plunder than the brilliance of its ideas. The capital requirements to finance the industrial revolution were made possible only through systematic torture and slavery, resource extraction at gunpoint, and the violent destruction of commercial rivals; South Asia, for instance, had a more far productive and sophisticated textile industry before the British forcibly dismantled it.

Should I ever say something of equivalent silliness about communism ('Stalin rewarded intellectuals with the opportunity to do more with less') than please feel free to set the record straight.

And with that, back to the real substance of this thread: pointless and repetitive recriminations with the Joebot.
On this point have you read Tom Burgis' book 'Looting Machine'?
