Explain to me what point you were trying to get across then. because there's only one way that post read to me and it's the same every time I read it. The people who have been paying attention will vote remain. The racists won't.
it seems some of the remainers on here have made utter fools of themselves with this ridiculous claim.

apologies will be accepted of course

Given that he's not particularly active in the thread and give you my interpretation, which was that it will embolden the racists and they will be out in force, but those leave voters 'paying attention' will now vote remain.

Not my view as I think there's a sizeable group he's missing that don't fall into either category, but I didn't read it as 'all leave voters are racist'. It's a bit crudely worded though.

Yes Barnfred, I agree. It just struck me that the other Brexit poster's astonishing dismissal of the Irish problem with a 'just get rid' remark illustrates a lot of Leavers' attitude and reasoning for voting as they did. Heaven forefend they have to explain why they say what they say. He just wanted to sever the union with Scotland too! Just like that!
If that's what the citizens of the 2 countries want I don't have an issue. To be honest,I am getting a bit fed up of Blackford saying he's only interested in Scotland. It can work both ways. Maybe what I'm feeling is similar to what some Europeans feel about us Britslol

Maybe the United Kingdom, as a union, has had it's day. I don't know. But I do believe the people that live there have the right to decide for themselves.

Thankfully the mod team are remainers so we can stand tall against the racism and bigotry and fight for the democratic majority of GOTland who wish for their bodily fluids to not be infiltrated by fear of foreigners and general signs of old age.
Disrespect for your elders Bruce tut tut - Is that Bourbon you are still suffering from ? how was the USA?
outside the EU?

Will Gareth Bale then qualify for the England and Wales national team mate;)

Seriously, I don't have a problem if NI and Scotland want to have a referendum on their independence. I don't think NI have had one for years, and although Scotland had one just 5 years ago, if we do ever leave the EU I think that would represent sufficient reason to justify another one.

I wonder what the divorce settlements would cost them though.

Northern Ireland costs the UK Exchequer more than it brings in, as does Scotland. There is no mention of 'divorce settlement' in the Good Friday Agreement if there is a positive united Ireland outcome from a border poll.

it looks like it could happen sooner rather than later.

a United Ireland , free to stay in the EU... I can see that getting voted through very easily actually
I'm not sure everybody in the South would readily take on the North even if they were offered it mate. It's very possible there would be an element if unrest, plus I don't think the economy of NI is that great at the moment either. I may be wrong in the latter but I sure I read somewhere recently that it's economy is heading for recession.

So you'll think both countries will be allowed to leave without taking their share, or at least a share, of the national debt with them? The Govt stake in RBS alone would cost around £20b to the scots.

What spectacular nonsense.
‘I said I wanted to move home but then I didn’t do it the next day to live on the street so I clearly don’t want to’
Mate it's been over 2 years.

When they set the date 2 years ago it was then a duty to leave by that point. If they didn't then they have failed, which is what has happened.

By your reckoning of we remained and postponed it for the next 10 years but left just before the whole thing went tits up and broke apart for example then it's still not honouring the vote of the people
