Oh, just you said you'd spoken to them in a previous post. I assumed it was from personal experience. I know you were a senior manager in the horticulture industry in your neck of the woods so figured it was from other senior managers in your sector or something.
Bruce the EU banned sodium chlorate the very first weedkiller invented =salt - a fire hazard.... yet it sits under one chemical difference on supermarket shelves ... evidently even under COSHH in which I was credited qualified exam with and by EU law keptr all my chemicals pesticides under a safe cabinet lock and key this was banned as a fire hazard.... its up there with straight bananas I am afraid......
Oh does ordinary salt burn yes it does .....

Ok so I refer you to my question before when you linked me , rather than linking me or what you’ve seen on a news report what ludicrous directives did you personally have to comply with ? Just give me three or four and then I can either discuss it perhaps see where you’re coming from . I want to learn Joe , Let’s have an actual discussion like others have engaged in even if we disagree .

Life it’s about learning and honestly I want to , I’m ignorant about loads of things in life which is why I’m a voracious reader to try to make up for many numerous short comings ,
One lower down about Coshh and you can add ridiculous lifting weights to that......

They still are. That's the amazing thing - big numbers of people will fall in line behind them still.

But then people support Corbyn on the other side of the spectrum. Maybe people are just thick by nature, who knows.
I till think people vote the way their parents voted irrespective of the political and economic times they live in
This was the case in Ireland recently where people still voted for whichever side their family was on during the civil war in the 1920s
Fortunately education and a more clued in younger generation plus the diminishing influence of the church has changed all that , and people vote for the person and his manifesto rather than the party
NI still to a large degree votes on religious grounds but that’s born out of self preservation and distrust
Hopefully Britain will catch up and vote outside of previously held convictions

It's not banned because it's flammable. It's non combustible.

It's banned because it's damaging to the environment and public health - it causes methaemoglobinaemia

You're right in linking it to Banana's, in that those who spout it as an example of overarching EU regulation are mistaken.

Ok so risk assessments to protect workers handling hazardous materials is that ? You think that’s a bad thing ?

You’re second point I presume , I don’t know , you’re referring to manual handling of weights ?

Effectively you’re saying the implementation of health and safety measures and structures regarding the handling of hazardous materials deeply impacted on your role as a manager ? Maybe I was wrong previously to wonder why you felt comfortable with JRM , farage and Johnson as your bedfellows.

I wouldn’t be so sure of that yet. Parliament needs to agree on a way forward if we’re going to get another extension. They can’t agree on anything. Both main parties are split so it’s hard to imagine anything gaining a majority.
True, so it becomes very likely that an extension will be sought. The nuclear option has all but been ruled out even though it is still technically a possibility.

I think the point is that one is frictionless and one is not. You can freely move across the border in Ireland, and by extension, into the UK...but you won't just be able to fly into the UK without passport checks.

Nobody as far as I know is stopping citizens of Eire / Northern Ireland ,continue as normal they don't need a passport at present anybody else say the French already need a passport to enter so nothing new, if they want to carry on into the UK from Eire
What's the problem , the already have different government, taxes, money ect it's only impossible if you want it to be.

You know that the bendy banana myth is one that accept as the most oft perpetuated and ridiculous , I could link you all the actually legislation and facts but like most things I’d assume you’ll completely ignore it .

So far I can gather You want to leave the Eu because they’ve introduced health and safety , workers rights , so we can damage the environment and lies over bendy bananas .

To save you a bit of time , 17.4m and you won .

Don't tell your Grandmother how to suck eggs - I was fully qualified - read my post over sodium chlorate......
If you have managed you know where common sense and the EU lies in some stupid unnecessary rules- I kept ever standard yet they just issued more unnecessary ridiculous laws OK.....
As a Manager dealing in dangerous chemicals I was qualified quite rightly, and my health and safety record was 2nd to none OK......
