Look whether you want to ignore it or not the EU instills bureaucracy that can hut businesses in the UK.......
Like the new Copyright LawsLook whether you want to ignore it or not the EU instills bureaucracy that can hut businesses in the UK.......
On the contrary I have seen small business with a massive handbook file, stating they cant wait to leave as the stupid EU weekly checks will not be necessary anymore, and in time they will be able to employ more staff as it takes them so long to ensue stupid unnecessary EU directives........
Same with you defending an organisation that takes control - I was a manager who had to comply with ludicrous EU directives in a massive organisation - as a manager it hindered myself , and staff ..... itb also raised cost too the council tax payer....Aren’t you a union man, you don’t think the EU have been instrumental in helping workers rights ? I’ll be honest a lot of what you write i’d Expect from the likes of @peteblue . I understand his position on the EU and business ,I get where he’s coming from . I understand others who want to leave to different reasons including the EU policies on state aid or a variety of reasons . I just sometimes struggle to reconcile yours .
No just on the media news Bruce,,,,,,Do you believe the (presumably) small number of businesses you've personally spoken to are comparable to the much larger number of businesses included in the research I quoted?
Crikey so a factory had 12 people working on data protection ?
Its actually quite amazing, that so many people think its actually more then this really. The whole thing could be done and dusted within a temporary time frame. To think of how high the stakes are its quite mad.
I've had the good fortune to speak to perhaps 300 chief data officers (or variants thereof) this past year, and none regard GDPR as a bad thing. Indeed, for many it's provided a welcome jolt for their businesses to get their house in order and take data more seriously.

No apparently just in implementing EU directives and Law. Businesses weren't given 2 years to comply with GDPR regulations...oh no wait, they were!Crikey so a factory had 12 people working on data protection ?
UK just say we are sticking to the agreement, not putting a border in place because of the agreement we have signed so it's over to you if you want to change that your side.A hard Brexit is incompatible with the good Friday agreement. Border checks will become necessary unless freedom of movement is allowed and there is regulatory alignment for trade.
I think the point is that one is frictionless and one is not. You can freely move across the border in Ireland, and by extension, into the UK...but you won't just be able to fly into the UK without passport checks.UK just say we are sticking to the agreement, not putting a border in place because of the agreement we have signed so it's over to you if you want to change that your side.
Free of movement between both sides has been in since before the EU was even though of so why a problem all of a sudden.
Any none Irish people can just fly into Liverpool airport ect if the want to enter the UK anyway so why make a special trip to Dublin to get get access to the UK?
Trade would be the same for northern Ireland for the rest of the UK .
Plus it's a falicy that things are not moving forward on the technology front as at least 2 countries are about to bring in these. Changes this year.
and another link. I think this is fairly accurate
