They'd typically be right wing nutters of a stormfront persuasion who kinda thought eugenics was cool, and that the odd war now and then would help to trim the population a treat. They were often convinced that the world was being Islamified because they're outbreeding us, and must be stopped. Strange folk.
I don't even think it's that extreme thinking in some quarters

Should mind his own business, he has got more to worry about like the IMF warnings on the euro banking/economy or the dutch voting for there own version of a brexit party, than sucking up to parts of the UK population.
They are not represented in parliament that's a a joke they are over represented that half the problem going forward
By the way has he said anything that would change if we stay in, to appease the fears of those that don't support his vision of the EU in the UK or anywhere else for that matter ?

I got my email from Dexit today saying that the petition is a waste of time, so yeah, it's kind of nice to see someone who does (still) represent us reminding people of that.

Interestingly, a similar thing occurs with cyclists (bare with me). A new study (http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.trf.2019.03.005 if you're interested) has basically found that many Top Gear loving whoppers motorists regard cyclists as 'subhuman', which then influences how they behave towards them on the road. A big part of the problem is that they don't actually know any cyclists so this mirage can emerge. It's only when they actually meet cyclists and see that they're normal people that they start behaving more responsibly towards them.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the same isn't true of migrants, as ardent leave areas are usually those with fewest migrants, so the perception people have of them is fueled by the awful things printed in the press. They're 2nd class citizens here to do bad things. A number of studies have said things like having more migrants commenting in the media would help, or various other things to encourage more contact between them. Lots of things can be done, it's just a shame that our politicians kowtow to the media and dog whistle instead.
Having worked across the world in conflict resolution, this is absolutely the case. It's education and experience of 'others' that reduce hostility.

So because 1 million people marched that's fair reason for a new referendum even though 17 million people - a majority - voted for the country to leave the European Union? Simpletons.

66 million didn't, don't they count , do we get more votes for steps on are apple apps these days or something?

17,410,742 voted leave, 1,269,501 more than remain.

That's life.

Between 312,000 and 400,000 marched.

We've no clue how many genuine signatures are on a petition.

All that matters is the actual referendum vote. 72.2% turnout.

Every vote/election millions are disappointed. Diddums.
