And lefties would still want a second ref, boo hoo we lost, get over it.

Lol at "get over it". you talk like people have just lost a football match, were only a few days after the decision FFS. I'm sure the likes of Farage and his group of little englamders would have got over it right away yeah and just scuttled off to never be seen again...

So I've just seen David Lammy ranting and raving on Sky News and WOW! His disregard for democracy is simply breathtaking. A completely disgusting affront to the rights of his fellow countrymen and women. The right for us to vote in fair and democratic elections/referendum's was fought for by our forefathers and shouldn't simply be tossed aside because we disagree with a result. Just how far does this go? Do we start holding election after election until us plebs vote the right way?! Hell why stop there, if us dirty peasants can't be trusted to vote the right way maybe we shouldn't have the vote at all! I've despaired loads of times over election results in years gone by but would never contemplate fighting to overthrow democracy. I'll say it again: our right to vote was bitterly fought for by our forefathers and we should all think VERY hard about weather your comfortable with the idea of throwing it away.

The alternative would be to have some thing like a North Korea democracy!

RBS down
Travel companies issuing financial warnings
HSBC and Morgan Stanley preparing to move jobs to the continent
The FTSE down another 1.5%
The £ dropped lower V the dollar than it did at any point on Thursday night/Friday

But

Reported acts of racism on the way up.

Well played Britain.

Update:The Independent & the Financial Times Data put a bit more meat on the bones of turnout by age. The Independent gives a figure of 36% for voters aged 18 - 25.

To quote learned members of G O T, make of that what you will. I couldn't possibly comment.

We have a democracy to elect people to decide on the governance of the country, not to toss it back to the population to decide on each and every thing. Referendums are a nonsense, and on that I quite agree with Lammy.

For the record, I have no problem at all for people to have as much control over their own affairs as possible, as they have the most information about their own affairs. As evidenced by this whole sham however, the vast majority have naff all idea about EU matters and so the very notion of them deciding on such things is an utter nonsense. It shouldn't have been offered in the first place, and if they can wriggle out of it then they should do.

Remain camp are the little EUnders, not wanting to trade with the world india, china america aus , nz etc on a big scale, nothing to do with Farage who is an idiot but will be off in few years

We had a vote okay not universally liked. But at the moment we are still in the EU and likely to be so for the next 2.5 years. So why all the panic in the stock markets and pound rates, nothing has changed from Wednesday to Friday.
