Grow up. I asked for a direct answer and you tried to deflect me to hide the fact that you shouldn't have made the statement that you did. I note that while you didn't specifically say 'read all 2,000 pages' you did not, and have not yet, directed me to the relevant page nor answer my question directly. I await either/or. Your last sentence is not even worthy of a response. You're a bluff lad.

You only had to go back ten pages....you are lazy......I will, and have always admitted if or when I am wrong, I will and always have apologised for anything incorrect. But I’m damned if I’m letting you demand that I pull something up to prove a point when you can’t even be bothered to read a few pages......

Why did you just not answer the question instead of these semantics? Deflection? Yes. Evasion? Yes. Truth? Eh?

I will ask you again, do you stand by your statement that France supplied Exocet missiles to Argentina after commencement of the Falklands conflict? A straight, non evasive yes or no would be great.

And I refer you to my previous answer provided to a different poster.....

And we go round again. Forget it lad, you haven't a clue. Everyone on here has seen the carry on out of you over this subject, and your pathetic behaviour once called out. The Irish lads have sussed you over your half baked opinions about the Irish border question in relation to the EU, and no amount of condescending responses will change the opinions that most sensible posters have of you on this thread. Pathetic, absolutely pathetic.

And I apologise to the rest of the posters on here for this spat, but I hate it when people make statements that are patently untrue but go unchallenged. I hope @peteblue can make the same statement, but I doubt it.

So your opinion is equal to any expert or researched findings?

No wonder you think Brexit is a good idea.

Not at all. Those that know me know that I usually question the opinions of experts, as I tend to believe that no one really knows the true answers.....my opinion on Brexit, is just my opinion, it maybe based on greater experience and knowledge than others, but who really knows. I am not in thrall to ‘experts’ because I also happen to be recognised as one, and I know my own limitations.....experts are far from all knowing beings......judge with your own brain and not just the brain of others.....

Well quite, but you have to acknowledge prevailing opinion and treat it as persuasive to your argument. I don't think it's good enough to say 'nobody really knows until it's happened' as you need to make preparations and assessments based on something - either expert opinion, past learning or research.

Surely the sensible thing to do is take a variety of opinion, expert advice and knowledge and then assess it, educate yourself on these matters and firm an opinion based on that. To discount or treat experts as suspicious diminishes your position.

Edge, @peteblue stated that the French supplied the Argentines with Exocets during the conflict. I pulled him on that specific statement and he then came out with the 'read 2,000 pages' nonsense. I have been asking him to be honest that he deliberately lied and he is hiding behind the line about technical help given by some engineers. The French government did not, of course, supply Exocets to Argentina during the conflict. Hope this clarifies why I have tried to call him out. To be fair, this is not the first time he has acted like this.
As i said mate I didn't know the in's and outs of the spat going on.
The French did not supply Exocets to the argies while the conflict was on.
you could however say, as one of the technicians who was later outed an agent of the DGSE ( the french MI6) who was acting an agent on behalf of the french, did help the other side by fixing those faulty missiles enabling them to be used, after the embargo was supposed to be on.
I don't know what has been said, but from what i have read it looks like the french government did at the top level indeed stop selling the missiles in good faith, but some other agency bent the rules, it's a murky world arms so god knows what the really truth is, wouldn't even pretend to have the answer with any real conviction either way.
There is stuff knocking about that the USA were playing games on both sides online as well.
