@Emlynsqueakyvoice

Just caught up on your @peteblue discussion/argument about the French and Exocets. In the interests of clarity I pulled him on the comment just after he’d made it and pointed out what you have and what @edge has, although edge certainly supplied more detail . Pete then did accept the point made . I know you’re probably well aware already but just thought it fair to point it out .

Thank you, perhaps next time he will read the thread as I suggested, and stop all this demanding of answers...

Cheers Mark. It's hard when trolls throw in random 'facts' and then act all offended when you call BS on them. Regarding your advice, I'll have to find a Nelson Muntz emoji. Thing is, I've only just found the thumbs up one!
@Harryflashman, no problem mate. I didn't see your conversation with him, which is why I asked him a direct question. All I asked for was a direct answer. He then felt the need to carry on how he did. If he'd even have told me where his previous answer was to be found I would have accepted that, but to tell me to read the previous pages wasn't an acceptable answer as it could have been a needle in a haystack. Anyway, we have established the facts now and we can all now argue about everything else!

And for the future. If you ask me a question I will normally try my best to answer it as best I can. If you come on here demanding answers to issues that I had covered just a few posts back then I will not, and I will ask you to read the thread......

Best ignore him Emlyn. Comes on here pissed as a fart throwing out insults and calling people who disagree with him bigots while at the same time pleading for "adult behaviour".

You can only point your finger and laugh.

Adult behaviour indeed......still using your little gang eh......

Whether warranted or not, Britain has always had a reputation for stoic competence on the continent, but that has been utterly shattered by this, and it's not only the evident incompetence and duplicity of our political leaders, but the public as well. There was a bloke from the flower trade on the John Oliver show explaining how delays at customs would decimate a business that had been going for 30+ years, and yet he voted to leave, seemingly oblivious to this as a consequence. Len McCluskey was bemoaning the loss of jobs at Honda yesterday, despite his union backing Brexit. It's a level of stupidity and national self-harm on a never before seen scale.

Now just for clarity. Once again, the Honda issue has nothing to do with Brexit....they are suggesting it is about electrification of car engines....

Speaking on BBC Radio Four, Ian Howells, Vice President of Honda said: “This is not a Brexit-related issue for us, this decision has been made on the basis of global changes.
“We have always seen Brexit as something we will get through. Nevertheless these other changes that are coming at us globally we have to now respond to and as I said it is a really sad day for our people in Swindon and we regret the impact this is going to have on them and their community.”

Katsushi Inoue, Honda's chief officer for European Regional Operations and President, Honda Motor Europe said: "In light of the unprecedented changes that are affecting our industry, it is vital that we accelerate our electrification strategy and restructure our global operations accordingly.”

It's a pity you didn't act like that when I asked the question. To be fair, @edge and @Harryflashman have confirmed the facts. It's something that you continue not to do for me. I wish I had a Nelson Muntz emoji right now.....

Not sure continually writing 'read the thread' or 'it isn't an issue' qualifies.

No it's Brexit.

You are another one. If you want a civil discussion then try behaving in a civil manner....
Ok..............I........will.......try......to.......do..just.....that

But just for reference, you can't call for 'adult discussion' and people to evidence their points when they challenge you, whilst simultaneously dismissing every peice of contrary evidence, calling people that challenge you idiots, randomly declaring your opinion as fact and making assertions about people as facts of which you have absolutely no evidence.

Or maybe you think you can, but don't then expect to be treated as an 'adult' when everything suggests the opposite.

Yet you have just said that the closure of the car plant was because of Brexit, while Honda have specifically stated that it is not and that electrification is the key driver. Who is dismissing the evidence again......

I just don't put any stock in the advice and evidence of experts or lying politicians. In my opinion it's Brexit, so as I've told you, it's nothing to do with Diesel or Electrification, it's down to Brexit.

It's a lovely position I can enjoy in this debate, I can dismiss all your evidence and the evidence to the contrary based on my opinion and my greater experience and knowledge than most.

So to reiterate it's all Brexit. Leaf means Leave.

And yet the Brexiteer's economist of choice, Mr Minford openly admitted that Brexit would require a winding down of the car industry in the same way the coal and steel industries were wound down. It seems a bit of a coincidence that Renault and Honda have both jumped ship, and JLR are in dire straits. For them, the Brexit free trading wonderland doesn't seem to be happening. Why is that?
