Given this seems to be the historic position of the Japanese and the current desire of the UK, I'm surprised that you seemed so enthusiastic and expectant of a Japanese-UK deal.It is mostly about the EU- Japan Deal . Even if we stayed within the EU, the removal of tariffs on cars and car parts would have taken the Japanese manufacturing back home. The Japanese are an island race who don’t really like outsiders, they put up with us and they trade with us as I did for many years, but they are not a multicultural country, they believe in looking after their own. This decision, if it comes to pass, is a fairly obvious consequence of their deal.......
