Right, and I can't imagine a French pharmacist accepting a foreign ordonance either.
The fact that you have to pay in France then claim back a percentage that depends on income and they have copago in Spain where your payment is already known, it'll be an administrative nightmare doomed before it begins.

I don't doubt there are, but it's not the fault of migrants.

Mendacious as vote leave has been in blaming immigration on increasing wage inequality and falling living standards with toxic mix of Austerity and continuing lack of infrastructure investment. Unless those who wish to remain start dealing with the above, they are equally as mendacious in hiding behind the far right lies and of vote leave will continue to have the upper in this process!

Sure, as I've said a few times previously, governments for a generation have hidden behind Europe as the fall guy for their own failings. That doesn't make it right, and as the husband of an immigrant it's appalling the way they have been treated.

Unfortunately it does make it right, not just by referendum but general elections, we as a collective have continued to vote for the same prescribed method of how our economy is managed and run. However, immigration is the excuse for the negatives and many have accepted this now as thier truth.

Client of mine casually stated that the reason it was taking him so long to get Universal Credit was due to ‘people coming into the country, claiming benefits’. A simple google would tell him how factually incorrect this was. However it was easier and more convenient for him to believe this than to consider the failings of government policy.
I corrected him but I doubt it made any difference

I heard something the other day about Orban in Hungary and how early on he realised he needed an enemy to galvanise his supporters,so he identified George Soros and it’s worked fantastically well for him . I don’t think it’s a lot different to immigration or even to an extent the EU , immigrants are the bad guys and it’s an easy narrative to follow.

Aye exactly. It’s saying ‘it’s not your fault. You’ve done nothing wrong. You’re good. It’s these other people. They are lazy and immoral. They are the reason why your life seems hopeless’
A simple and powerful narrative that has been propagated for centuries.

This, a million times, this.

Strange to see how much of the PV campaign is run by those heavily implicated in the Blair government, considering he's as much to blame for this mess as anyone else.

The entire situation is a failure of a democratic system that's fundamentally flawed.

"Yeah, I-I-I've probably got more friends than you've got cows. How -"
"This is ridiculous."
"How many cows have you got?"
"I've got a hundred cows."
"Yeah, I've got a hundred and four friends."

I think you should have addressed this to the originator of the question......

I totally agree with this. Our governments have always had a get out of gaol free card. But once we are out that will no longer exist and they will stand or fall on their own performance. I’m not too sure what the treatment of immigrants bit is about though as I have not seen it. I have daughters in law from Romania, USA and the Philippines and apart from initial entry there are no issues of which I am aware, there well maybe, but it would be good to hear what they are......
