Of course it probably has, but do people really think that just ignoring a result like that - without doing anything to actually say why it should be ignored - is ever going to result in anything positive?
We’re in a no win situation. There is no positive outcome to this mess. It’s a case of what will do the least damage.

So you would’ve been happy with May’s deal?
no, mate said repeatedly would sooner stay in than vote for that.
i have posted my reasons for voting out lots of time , said i don't mind a second vote if it would solve anything, but as a leaver if why would i vote again as my first one had been ignored no point getting of my bum and voting really is there?
not really a people's vote if half the voting population doesn't really feel their vote is worth anything
i can see what would happen if remain win we stay in.
if i vote out we are back to square one, parliament will not implement my wishes
so your side can win and gain what they want
mine what would we get out of it nothing .
that's unless you want a second vote that says leave with a deal or without a deal that would uphold the current referendum result, and give you your wish for a second vote?
as you say a lot has changed at the moment the situation is we are leaving, so surely that should be the question not one we have already answered.

I can understand it would be frustrating but that’s what happens when people tell lies and make promises that can’t be kept to win votes. We were never going to get the ‘cake and eat it’ deal promised and I don’t believe the majority in the country want a no deal Brexit.

Basically, things change, new evidence has come to light.

i know that mate , just debating it gets a bit boring throwing soundbites about on here.
i have long given up on any outcome other than we will end up staying in,( maybe with a different name to give the illusion of we have actually left) there hasn't been any really political will to leave.
we are just going along to the tune of the tory party and its antics and the others trying for power.
we don't really matter to them. they all lie its the nature of the beast at the moment for the majority in power these days.

Completely agree with this.

I agree - as bad as Brexit will be, giving people licence to overthrow an electoral decision without first proving it was obtained fraudulently (or doing anything to prevent other elections being similarly compromised) will be worse.

It would be overthrowing it if the government did that. If the will of the people has changed given the failure to agree an acceptable deal then that is very different.

Imagine I come to you and say ‘Hey, I’m going to pay for you to go overseas or you can stay here.’ You jump at the chance and say ‘yes please send me overseas.’ I come back a few days and mention that you’re going to Syria. Are you still going to take that trip?

It’s the same for this, I for the life of me cannot understand why it’s inconceivable that now we have the full facts why it’s beyond the realms of possibilities for people to change their mind.

The only people that are arguing other wise are Leavers or drinking far too much political kool-aid. If people won’t vote after this, good.

No, it isn't. If Parliament cannot pass this because of its own inclinations then why would they ask the people its opinion on it? A second Leave vote isn't going to make this deal any better, nor should it change the mind of any MP who opposes it (and just so we are clear, they are right to oppose this deal because its useless).

Parliament only has three choices at this point; it can either pass this deal, or set out the reasons why it cannot be passed (and again to be clear, there are real questions about the conduct of the Leave campaign including possible criminal offences) or find a deal that a majority can accept. The problem is that there is no majority for the first, no interest in the second (anyone who hasnt read Private Eye 1487 yet should read "Remaining Friends" on page 9) and the third has just been rejected.

that would be fine if people had in fact changed there minds ,
I haven't met anybody of either side who has gone the other way.
People from the remain side keep saying that leavers were lied to and now know different ,if that's true surely there would be hundreds of thousands if not millions of people up in arms about it from the leave side about it
i haven't seen any sign of it no matter how many time people (remainers)say it.
The full facts , what are those do you know the details of the deal we are going to get, if indeed there is one please share, if not its at best speculation, and has about as much validation as the horoscope section in the echo.

As for people not voting good, really?
So long as you get your way it doesn't matter if we alienate people
wasn't that one of the very reasons people voted out in the north, because the felt
left behind and not listened to, haven't you learned anything from this or don't you care?
that's the type of thinking that has got us where we are currently.
