The sad thing is, I shared with Joe a detailed article on how Europeans are responding to this situation and he dismissed it as somethingorother (probably without even reading it). There are none so blind as those who shall not see.
They had a crisis meeting Bruce they were all called in there phoney 500 page blag of legal guff was rejected surprise surprise Remainers , and Brexiteers did not like it Bruce.....
Are the civil servants her advisors going to pay their Brucie bonuses back for such a crap deal?..........

I tell you what then. I have explained in here what I believe will probably happen. Perhaps you could now say what you think will happen.......
I expect the Tory’s and DUP to support the government because they will put themselves first. May will carry on embarrassing herself and our country until we parliament is forced into a choice between no deal and no Brexit, which will be put to a referendum. I have no idea what people would vote for in that case because people are easily led and will do what the press tell them to. If no Brexit won May might finally give up as PM. If No deal won then there will be massive damage done to our economy, massive joblessness, Scotland leaving the U.K., huge tension over the Northern Ireland border etc...

But we will see what happens.

Corbyn is doing all he can do, he's up against one of the most stubborn, out of touch with morality PM's we have ever had, any other PM in history would have resigned lastnight, most would have gone when caught in contempt of the commons and found hiding the truth and lying about legal advice she had been given.

I’m afraid the days of politicians displaying honour are now gone, as demonstrated and amplified by the cretin who sits in the Speakers chair.......

So there will be another wasted day or 2 with this lot squabbling and blaming each other in vain while a predictable outcome awaits.

Meanwhile the UK has become a laughing stock as the rest of the world watch on in bemusement.

It's an utter charade.
This has all worked in the EU's favour.I can imagine any other member who harboured ideas of leaving will think very hard about where it can lead.

That's referenda for you mate. They had 1 in Ireland and when they got the "wrong vote" they just ran it again! It creates the illusion of democracy, in a country that doesn't want real democracy, which you can only get via proportional representation.
Yes don't forget the unbiased alleged Bully of a Speaker - who drive a car with a sticker saying Brexit is Crap........

I thought she should have resign, but after the vote of confidence tonight make way for a proper Brexiteer leader.......

Without doubt a lesson on how to be spectacular stupid!
I'm sure other countries restrict or even allow referendum, there are restrictions in Italy for obvious reasons, as they have been highjacked by nut jobs in the past!

You mean other countries might learn from our stupidity? The Eu’s position has not changed, it cannot change, they cannot just abandon their principles for countries that want a better deal.

She cam across as a Leader, defeated but still a Leader. Corbyn came over as a rather depressing nonentity. He will lose the confidence vote and May will emerge strong again, and now with a massive mandate to have another go at the E.U. ....

Mandate to have another go at the EU?

Man, this is such palpable nonsense. You sound like Boris Johnson - why would the EU offer her any concessions after last night? They will never bend on the 4 freedoms, we've known that from the start and after last night the EU know for sure that there is no deal that can come back, that sorts out the Irish border, that will satisfy the head-banging idiots in her party and the septuagenarian membership. There is zero chance they will offer anything more meaningful (which is why even though everyone in the UK seems to think the chances of no-deal have lessened, in Europe they all think the chances have increased dramatically).

There are now three options - Norway, No-deal and 2nd Ref.

I think the Norway option is also dead because the right of her party do not see it as a true Brexit and I think it unlikely that Labour would help her out by swinging behind it (they smell a GE). It would also be difficult for May because of her fervent desire to end free movement and her belief that this is what the vote meant.

Problem is that this leads us to the two crazy extremes - no-deal, which no sane person wants (and you can start to see from May that the idea of her leading us down this path is beginning to terrify her) and a 2nd ref which neither her or Corbyn want to take charge of, due to the calls of ignoring the will of the people and the damage this could do to peoples faith in democracy ect...

All of this comes down to May's ridiculous red lines to again appease the hard eurosceptics in her party. She should have gone across the aisle at the start, to attempt to lessen the huge divisions in the country that this whole proccess has caused... and David Cameron, instead of just running away after the vote should have immediately proposed Norway. It was a tight 52-48 result and the EEA, Norway option would have made sense (lose the political affiliation but maintain the economic). 2.5 years ago, I think most would have accepted this as a fair and common sense application of the result.

God knows what happens now - if Corbyn doesn't swing behind a second ref in next 7 days though I think no-deal becomes increasingly likely by the day.

My hope is that MP's and Parliament begin to take hold of the process, but all they have said so far is what they don't want, not what they do.
