This country did not have a government fit to hold a referendum.
This country does not have enough informed voters fit to vote in a referendum.
Politics is about trying to judge the lesser of evils and the lesser of evils tends to be a devil incarnate.

No point in falling out over lads. Politicians and banks will ruin or make great this country. Not mug voters like us.

I will not be typing out the word referendum again. Over use of vowels.

What did the Romans ever do for us?
Free trade
Free movement of people
Movement of capital
Citizens rights
Consumer rights
Justice system to keep national governments in check
Pollution regulations
Safety standards for goods and materials
Support of farming

And we wouldn’t have any of them if we left would we.....well I’m convinced......

So where’s your list.....

Pete, you're the one that wants to leave the EU, so I think the onus is on you I'm afraid. You've had two years to think of something. There have been plenty of things branded 'project fear' to suggest leaving the EU would be harmful, so it would be lovely if there was something positive to hang our hats on from the leave camp. And something concrete would be great, so if you're going to cite sovereignty or something, do please say which rules you'd like to abolish/change/create and what impact they could have.

Economic

It is estimated that 10% of all jobs in the UK are of a direct link with EU. So that would be a good thing for starters.

The ability to trade goods tariff free across 27 countries with limited red tape, means business have a much larger market to aim at.

You are joining a trading block of 508 million. The third largest in the world behind China and India. Any trade deals are negotiated are going to be far better than we could get on our own. Esp. seeing that I would hazard a guess that in any conflict of interest/special clauses the EU one would take priority over ours, unless we bend over backwards and take whatever is offered, which in that case are we really taking back control?

Travel

Able to travel/study and work visa free, take advantage of free or reduced cost healthcare and policies such as the scrapping of roaming charges while in EU countries.

Security

Better communication between local intelligence services with access to improved data sharing and military resources.

Environment

The EU helps address issues that individual countries would not do on their own like pollution limits etc. that we see countries like USA trying to wriggle out of as obviously it is more expensive to find solutions which can have a knock on effect if you are in direct competition against another who isn't.

If I had time to really sit down and think about it I'm sure I could rattle off loads more. Can you do the same for staying out?

Economic. Our trade with the EU is diminishing, our trade with the RoW is growing. The EU world percentage and growth diminishes in comparison with the RoW every year. We will still trade with the EU obviously, why would the not trade with their biggest trading partner. But we can get out of this ‘hold everyone back’ mechanism called Brussels.

Travel. I have no problem showing a passport and I used to travel regularly, weekly, all over the world. So exactly what is this great benefit and how often do you take advantage of it. How many on here, and I know there are one or two, are actually using this benefit. Surely we wouldn’t want to join just for ‘roaming charges’...

Security. I will feel far more secure when we actually tighten our borders again and not allow any nutter from anywhere in the EU to enter. Similarly I don’t see that becoming part of an EU army makes the U.K. more secure.

Environment. The EU without the U.K. will do whatever it wants anyway. The U.K. will do what it believes is right. How does joining the EU benefit our environment ?

My question was once we have left why would we wish to rejoin, so there you go, make a list.....

This fella is the one you believe ? I’m not saying he’s wrong because it may well be true but you and pretty much all the leavers have dismissed the comments of experts , those within government and civil servants but this fella I’m guessing you are fully behind ?

Not at all. I don’t trust any of them. But I can just about believe that even this shambles of a government and civil service may just be in a slightly better position for a no deal than we are told with their doom laden comments.....

Come on Bruce, if we had a second vote, explain to me why I should change my vote, because that is exactly what will need to happen, tell me what the benefits of staying or rejoining the EU are....
