BigBlueNose noticing that Joey gets a lot of attention and trying to cut in for some.

The sad thing is, I would absolutely love for someone from the leave camp to come forward on this and present a more rational debate around the merits of leaving. With 17 million voting for this you'd imagine there must be some out there, and yet all we get in this little corner of the world are ill thought out nonsense that are so easily debunked by anyone with even the smallest experience of things. That people then take great umbrage at being accused of not understanding things, not having thought them through properly and so on merely adds salt to the wound. The country has gone collectively mad.

Google it - we are not obligated to pay any amount it's a gesture.....it is not legally binding according to some sources others say we are obligated.......

I don’t need to google it Joe, I actually sit at meetings with HMRC’s Director General. I’ve signed non-disclosure agreements, I do know what’s going on

Real World v Daily Mail

We can just listen to remainers who seem to know exactly what's going to happen and at what cost..

We hear it every day.

Nobody knows how it will go.

It is very true that no one can say how good or bad it will go. But it is very likely that it will result in a hefty hit to our economy. No one from the leave side can put forward to say why it won't be. In fact most are ok with a negative impact for the greater good, but this too is immeasurable. We might still have a fairly large amount come into the country from the EU boosted by numbers from India etc. depending what trade deals we manage to negotiate (all from a position of weakness rather than one of strength).

Bottom line is if we were out of the EU the biggest boost to our economy we could give would be to join it. It's completely nonsensical to think we could come out of this unscathed when the other side are fighting for their ideological existence.

We tried that, you dismissed them all. Have you ever put forward the benefits of remaining in the E.U.If it’s so great there must be a mountain of stuff for the benefit of everyone......

I believe the opposite is true. If we were out of the E.U. there is absolutely no way that the country would vote to join...why would we, list the benefits.....

The Government is failing to be "frank" with the public about the extent of no-deal preparations because it wants to shore up support for Theresa May's "disastrous" Brexit deal, a civil servant says.
The official, who is involved in drawing up contingency plans, writes in The Telegraph that claims that Britain will "crash out" in the event of a no-deal Brexit are "absolutely untrue".
Describing the claims as "Project Fear Mark III", the civil servant says that "very detailed plans" have been made are now being executed to ensure that a cliff-edge Brexit is "simply not going to be an option"......

This fella is the one you believe ? I’m not saying he’s wrong because it may well be true but you and pretty much all the leavers have dismissed the comments of experts , those within government and civil servants but this fella I’m guessing you are fully behind ?

Economic

It is estimated that 10% of all jobs in the UK are of a direct link with EU. So that would be a good thing for starters.

The ability to trade goods tariff free across 27 countries with limited red tape, means business have a much larger market to aim at.

You are joining a trading block of 508 million. The third largest in the world behind China and India. Any trade deals are negotiated are going to be far better than we could get on our own. Esp. seeing that I would hazard a guess that in any conflict of interest/special clauses the EU one would take priority over ours, unless we bend over backwards and take whatever is offered, which in that case are we really taking back control?

Travel

Able to travel/study and work visa free, take advantage of free or reduced cost healthcare and policies such as the scrapping of roaming charges while in EU countries.

Security

Better communication between local intelligence services with access to improved data sharing and military resources.

Environment

The EU helps address issues that individual countries would not do on their own like pollution limits etc. that we see countries like USA trying to wriggle out of as obviously it is more expensive to find solutions which can have a knock on effect if you are in direct competition against another who isn't.

If I had time to really sit down and think about it I'm sure I could rattle off loads more. Can you do the same for staying out?
