Go on, Bruce, have a go, list the benefits of staying or even rejoining.......

As its Half Time, my quick view fwiw. Wouldnt want to rejoin cos I understand we would have to adopt the Euro, which I have always been against.

Remaining as we currently sit? Free and stable trade, huge benefits for financial services, production, and distribution via the customs union. Free movement of EU citizens is a good thing for the UK, and something anyone under 40 have always known.

Negotiating trade deals as the EU will result in better terms than 20 plus individual deals.

I get the political bits and bobs can be a pain, and the regs can be tiresome at time, but thats generally not something that materially effects folk in everyday life. Filed under irritating.

We have a veto on major decisions.

On balance, prefer it to wing and a prayer promises from the likes of Rees Mogg and Farage.

Security. I will feel far more secure when we actually tighten our borders again and not allow any nutter from anywhere in the EU to enter.
Except that you will have an open unmanned land border with the EU after leaving, so you are not tightening your borders at all and anyone who wants to enter the UK can just walk in at will.

This claim about tightening borders and keeping 'nutters' out is a contradiction and a lie.

Fine. We’ll live with an open border in NI.....

On your bike Pete. It is leave voters who have ruptured the country on their pipe dream of leaving. The very least they can do is explain how they believe their actions will improve things for people residing here. That you want to slither away from even that basic responsibility is fitting given the cowardly way the whole leave campaign has been undertaken. You're not whatabouting your way out of this one, and shame on you for even trying.

The debate has moved on. Remainers want a second vote, so what is the argument to remain.....no rush, just a list will do.......

Pathetic. Even a 2nd referendum would give people an option (presumably) of no deal, May's deal or staying in. That even after two years plus decades of campaigning, you can't explain why you voted the way you did and how your choice would help people is little short of shameful.

I know full well what the EU has brought to society both here and across Europe, but I'm not giving you a target to take pot shots at with the usual ill thought out rhetoric. This is your [Poor language removed] show - man up and take responsibility for it.

Well, these are mine

We have already voted out. That’s a done deal. So if you wish the result to be changed, what are your new arguments, what are the benefits......

And do you believe that if we were already outside of the EU they would suffice for the country to want to join...what is the clinching argument for Remain ?....so far far all we have is being frightened to leave tbh....I’m just waiting for Bruce’s definitive list last would make me want to change my mind.....At the moment we’re still leaving......

I have already said I wouldnt want to rejoin, cos of the Euro mainly. I would rather the whole thing gets dumped in the bin personally, which I accept is unlikely. We will just have to crack on as best we can/are allowed I guess.

Which makes me a bit sad, and furious at times cos its all such a pile of nonsense that we voted on,

I’d rather we all just get behind the result and stop providing the EU with an opportunity to stitch us up........

I CBA looking, but I pretty much said that after the vote. Our elected representatives, (them making our rules and that), unfortunately have not exactly set a tone we could unite behind though, have they? On all sides.

I think we can agree on that.
