I can't see a Labour landslide no matter what happens. Perhaps Corbyn is doing what he did last time of looking like a useless politician, until an election is called and then he will shock us that he can be competent. This might garner more votes, but then maybe people will see through this approach to try and stay away from trouble.

I fully agree with the rest of the post though.
The landslide days in general appear to be done

...with the no confidence vote triggered by her own MPs, it must further weaken May’s negotiating position in Europe.
She will either be there or not - the deal is a very poor one, lets see what unfolds........
I feel she will not be overthrown...... there are so many scenarios who ever is in power the EU will have to back down or we have stalemate......

not once have i heard anybody say well ,whatever way you look at it the EU will take a hit unless they do a deal as well ,it's not only us that can lose out,so lets use are leverage as they have done,

It's hard to use leverage against someone else when your hand is significantly weaker. Anyone denying the EU would be harmed as well is deluded, but we have always been at risk of far worse harm.

neither would escape it in reality who would be worse off really isn't the point, we haven't used are strength in certain areas like the derivatives market in London for instance to are advantage in these negations .
We don't have to harm each other with a little will on both sides , it isn't a kick in the balls contest to see who is last man standing, unfortunately we have a gang of political pygmies doing a deal or not as the case may be.

Winston Churchill would have sorted this in a week....... we have had a remain PM 75% of the cabinet remain ... and you wonder why the negotiations have been an ease for the EU .... nothing may change , but she is a poor negotiator - end of.....

Winston Churchill was an excellent PM while we were at War. We're not at War.

I believe heard the same report as is mentioned below , the one i heard was in radio 5 . Seems appropriate to post

A very interesting account on the radio just now, which reminded me how utterly great it was having control of stuff, and a PM (Churchill) that I am pretty sure @Joey66 has suggested would have aced these negotiations.

Well, in return for a few US battleships helping out in the West Indies, post WW2, he gave away the UK patents for Jet Engines, Radar, and Pennicillan. (soz about the spelling).

Not to decry the wartime leadership of Churchill before anyone jumps on the post , I’m looking at you @Joey66 , but provides an interesting context to your post .
