Not necessarily - because of Corbyn's incompetence and lack of widespread appeal, amazingly the Tories are still competing in the polls instead of being wiped out, as they would be by a competent opposition. With a new leader, they'd wipe the slate clean and a lot of Tory voters will get back behind them.

If they keep May and can't do anything about her for the next 12 months, I think Labour will launch a no confidence motion of their own in January and force a General Election. If May contests that election, Labour will win by a landslide.

I can't see a Labour landslide no matter what happens. Perhaps Corbyn is doing what he did last time of looking like a useless politician, until an election is called and then he will shock us that he can be competent. This might garner more votes, but then maybe people will see through this approach to try and stay away from trouble.

I fully agree with the rest of the post though.

It's all part of a dastardly Remainer plot. May will go, Boris will mysteriously go missing after a visit to the Saudi embassy then there will be a public vote in which the choices will be: stay, remain, or chips. After an overwhelming victory for chips, Brexit will be declared null and void, and Donald Tusk will be named Emperor of Britain.

I'm looking forward to him pressing May on that poor Gloucestershire street with the slowest broadband in the country at PMQs today.

On what grounds can we realistically claim that our negotiating position is in any way weakened by what backbench MPs do or think?
Do you honestly think the EU doesn't know that there isn't any real will for brexit among the MP's , has there been any serious push to get a deal, any deal, any ideas from are mp's or any party for that matter, that wasn't just bluster or vague wishes?
Look at the direction of the dialog not any real sense we are leaving lets deal with it, instead they go on about, people not knowing what they voted for , when there is little evidence of any change in the leave support, the so called people's vote, constant harping on about the dangers of leaving for the UK , anything but the job in hand, first thing we did was guarantee EU citizens rights here, while i agree with that hardly a sign of a hard negotiation ahead for the EU , not once have i heard anybody say well ,whatever way you look at it the EU will take a hit unless they do a deal as well ,it's not only us that can lose out,so lets use are leverage as they have done,
We haven't had an dialog from are representatives about this that i have seen , thankfully the city of London has started to fight back behind the headlines , because nobody else seems to be, are parliament go up in arms at the suggestion of doing anything to the EU in order to rebalance the deal into a fair one for both parties.because they don't want it to happen.
The EU have shown a united front we have shown anything but, because they smell weakness, they have walked all over May because she in reality can't deliver, because the she and her cohorts are rather unwilling to push for a deal that doesn't leave us tied to the EU. it's like saying your going to leave your partner for good and going to sleep in the spare bedroom, not really leaving just putting on a show of defiance without any real threat, and the other side just thinks your a soft arse and lets you get on with it , till you come crawling back
The EU have basically done what vacuum salesmen do , spout from a script, wear them down, get them worried about the time, look for a bit of uncertainty then pounce with a deal , look it's a final offer only for today sign here you will not regret it,
i will go after you sign up and leave you in peace, giving you a deal that looks miles better than they started with , but throw in a maintenance plan to get there money back and more in the long run , and in reality is still leaving you with an overpriced vacuum cleaner that you didn't really want, but now cant get rid of because your tied into a contract you can't get out of, and wishing you had just politely said no thanks , goodbye right at the beginning.
bet you Maybot has a cupboard full or kirby vacuum cleaners the sucker.
