You are a bit mixed up about how the CTA came into being, but please note the people who fall foul of it are the Brexiteers, not the EU and not anyone who wants freedom of movement to continue.

If your red line is control of migration from the EU, then you have to deal with the CTA (and as I’ve said previously, the difference in status between citizens of the Republic and the other 26 was and is the best way we could get a deal on that).
Irish and British nationals living in each other countries will not be required to apply for settled status to protect their entitlements in Ireland and the UK respectively, while the rights to work, study, access social security and public services will be preserved on a reciprocal basis for Irish and UK nationals.22 Dec 2017
Irish citizens won't need to apply for settled status (they can if they wish to), as their right of residence in the UK is not dependent on it being in the EU. ... The government has said that those who already have a permanent residence or indefinite leave to remain document can swap this for settled status.2 Jul 2018

Tell that to Senator George Mitchell, the man tasked with implementing the GFA.

He begs to differ.

And this has been pointed out to you, via links, by @Armaghtoffee and others.

But happen you know better, Joe.

There is no fact which cannot be bent to suit your increasingly threadbare arguments in favour of the Brexit madness.

@Joey66 I in no way mean to be rude mate but do you read the posts you reply to ? You sometimes post like a politician in that you answer the point you want to rather than the one that was raised .

Do you honestly think that there is no issue presented by the lack of a hard border ? If so why do you think it seems to be baffling just about everybody else out there ?

No one recognises a hard border except the EU........ a spanner in the works that suits them..... take the money off the table or go for no deal and the would hurry back around the table, and forget Ireland........

So what about wto mfn rules and the border ? What happens to the uk’s credit rating if we refuse to pay , shouldn’t we pay what we’ve agreed to pay ? If you’ve agreed to pay money for projects for example do you think it’s fair to walk away from that ?

You never put a deposit down on a car unless you agree terms of your deal........
