You need to query the facts trade on the island of Ireland goes ahead with differences now ....no need for a hard border only the EU has suggested a hard border,,..........You’re not listening Joey, you’re not listening because you don’t want to.

Act of Parliment 1922 says the people of Ireland can travel anywhere in the U.K. - endorsed on the GFA in the 1990's
Any other EU national would be checked if try to arrive in the U.K. Just as if they were entering from Southampton or any other EU airports or sea link...My ignore button is like @Mark O'Silver button.....

Not mixed up at all if we were to leave the EU the Irish national people of the whole of Ireland have the right to travel anywhere in the U.K. Been an act of Parliment since 1922......You are a bit mixed up about how the CTA came into being, but please note the people who fall foul of it are the Brexiteers, not the EU and not anyone who wants freedom of movement to continue.
If your red line is control of migration from the EU, then you have to deal with the CTA (and as I’ve said previously, the difference in status between citizens of the Republic and the other 26 was and is the best way we could get a deal on that).

It does boil down to the trade in my opinion as opposed to freedom of movement, its the UK ability to negotiate trade deals or even abide by WTO rules as minimum without a hard border that's always been the issue.

In your opinion - tell me how atm goods with different Vat rates and custom duties different currencies go over an open border this conundrum has been definitely been set up by the EU as in the campaign to leave it was never mentioned by either side before the vote ......
The North don't want a hard border neither does the republic, and neither does the UK - but the EU who had nothing to do with the GFA never signed it legally kick the dirt up they are like a mafia of turning over results of referendums - end of.......
I am convinced that there is no need for a hard border as little trade is done with the EU anyway by Ireland most of the trade is with the UK..........
Everyone wants peace to continue - Brexit imo would not cause such problems , but the EU think differently .......
Really so yesterday was not self preservation ... they are all the same snouts in the trough the lot of them......
But mfn status and no border has a real potential to cause issues as well under WTO rules
You can’t have one without the other though; an open border is by definition open to everything however much people talk about miraculous technological solutions.
In fairness, you are the most consistent poster on here Joe. You post nonsense every time.Act of Parliment 1922 says the people of Ireland can travel anywhere in the U.K. - endorsed on the GFA in the 1990's

Just look in your two mirrors , and you will find your answer......lolWhat do you think would be easier to implement Joseph: no deal or the deal / implementation period / FEP?
Think very carefully, then type, then probably delete what you've written, go to bed, then retype.
