Thing is about this referendum is that all this wild furore by everyone , is it not just that? Kicking off for nothing?

I mean yes we are out the EU now but trade agreements will still exist. No one in there still will want to sever any trade ties with us so it allows us to control our trade a little bit more. Germany already has said they want a free trade agreement with us. So how much of an impact is free trade going to be when all the EU will want to carry on and the free trade list is pretty pitiful as it stand anyway so very little impact on that front.

But as for the EU itself, purely speculating here but has it not got too big for its own boots? I mean Greece have been allowed to go under more than once recently and the EU were happy to bail them out but not step in and actually try to prevent them from doing it. Almost like they want them at their mercy and in their debt rather than simply being able to help them self sustain. So the kick of one of their main members leaving is surely going to have a positive effect on them when others follow suit.

For the others leaving, is it going to be such a devastating impact if France, Germany, Spain or any of them leave it also? The domino effect can kick in now and us being out of it is apparently terrible yet all the other superpowers could be following us out which would technically justify the action?

Finally cameron. Coward. He has resigned but I still don't know why. He says he isn't the best person to lead us now except 12 months ago he was elected to be the best possible leader available. Whether or not you voted for him is irelevant because the same way of him elected has us leaving the EU. So to now walk away in my eyes sums up the political system in this country, the best possible candidate until the people disagree and he cuts and runs like a Coward rather than actually lead the country. I still have not seen one reason why he had to quit the job, he is a poor politician but sadly just comes from the mould that we have been using for decades.

I see the whingeing is still going on.

GOT needs to stock up on dummies and tissues...

Also, none of this is whinging. It's sensible discussion based on what could have happened and what could happen.

I still haven't had a decent reply from you when I asked for a law the EU have 'forced' onto us which you disagree with so much. No light bulbs this time, please.

Have people seen Faisal Islam the senior political reporter on sky ? Saying that he spoke to a prominent Leave MP and was told that leave have no plan and that Number 10 should have had one . This is genuine even though Islam looks in a bit of shock .
Fantastic this.

"We want to leave!"
"OK... We don't.. In fact we think it's a terrible idea. "
" Yeah.. Well we wanna leave."
"OK.. Well what's your plan for what happens next? "
" That's for you to sort out!"
" You 'kin what mate?!"

Farcical.

I think it's because he offered the country a referendum on one of the most important and contentious issues in politics as a way to keep his party happy so he could lead on, with a false pretence that remain was going to win.

Of course he had to go, he lead a massively important campaign which he lost, resulting in huge implications for the country.

Heaven forbid people should be concerned at the most momentous political decision of their life times.

You bang on about despising Cameron and Osbourne - hope you're very happy under the rule of Gove, Johnson and IDS instead.

Your divisive tone is getting quite irritating, debate the issues or don't.

Legitimate concern over the welfare of the country given the aftershocks from the result, the deafening silence from the leaders of the leave campaign as to how this will now progress and the immediate backtracking on the promises they made.

Doesn't matter mate, nobody can predict the future, what we do now has no bearing on it at all. Don't worry, stop crying.

Oh dear

It's a forum where we discuss football and our club endlessly when we can have absolutely no effect on it , despite thousands of threads on dream transfers or formations . This referendum though is the biggest thing facing this country almost certainly since the serving world war , it's therefore reasonable that people discuss it or discuss their concerns surely ?

Do you think you will get free trade without concessions on freedom of movement? Be a bit awkward doing that when the the most significant part of the leave campaign was about stopping immigration.

Gove seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth and seems very reluctant to put a Bill before parliament demanding Article 50 is acted upon by the government. For every days delay, according to Gove et al, the UK is getting nearer to having a city the size of Sheffield extra in the country. There is surely no time to lose.

The same can be said for the NHS. As the leavers pointed out, "After we Vote Leave on 23 June, the Government should use some of the billions saved from leaving the EU to give at least a £100 million per week cash transfusion to the NHS". By Friday 1st July the NHS will have been denied £100 million out of the £5.2 billion promised by the leavers.

And also because Cameron did not put a contingency plan in place in case Brexit won. He assumed he would scare everyone into voting Remain and so wouldn't need one, despite the Civil Service asking for it be done.
