You brought it up mate, I thought you could tell us who they are. If you'd like a clue, it's two thirds of the Benelux trio of leaders.

For all you know they are just celebrating Bettel's good election results. It's a bit weird to link every picture to Brexit.

I'm not sure but I think it's in the le roy d'Espagne. A good bar, if you're ever in Brussels.

Question time starting to get fruity regarding brexit, going to be funny by February as I can just see the two sides having a punch up in the auditorium.

But least the point is starting to boil down to the crux of the situation now. We need to have another referendum to decide if we want to keep NI as part of the UK...OR how about instead of trying to divide the country further we could just leave it to the politicians that are voted by the public to act on our behalf to make the decisions that is in the best interest of the United Kingdom. When did the break up of the UK become part of the mandate?

Interesting thread to have a look at in terms of the perception of our hand.

We are the rotten carcass and the vultures are circling. Everyone will know we'll be desperate and willing to make many concessions that we wouldn't normally make and you can bet the EU will be sniffing around the same people we are trying to get deals with to delay any recovery. When they look at the numbers they are going to go with the bigger market.

..I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Tory’s mount a concerted anti-Europe campaign, making them out to be the bad guys in all of this. The objective to get the majority of the British public behind them and fervently against the European governments.

Erm, they have been mate.

So basically, their focus is on their deal with the EU rather than ours, they don't want to get caught up in the loopy visions of Brexiters, Australian companies mainly use the UK as a gateway into the single market so will have to assess their investments accordingly, and they know we're weak and will squeeze hard. I reckon they're good at this negotiation lark, don't you @peteblue ?

I believe they are, after all they have been doing it for these last 40+ years while we’ve been shackled by the EU......however, our economy is still twice as big as Australia’s and we will be the EU’s largest trading partner, so even our incompetent negotiators do have one or two cards to play.....

Haha, so it's a lack of practice rather than a fundamentally crippling of our position. Oh Pete.
