facts don't care about your feelings? That's a bit of a meme in some circles. For me it's about context & intent. Is there negative intent when the focus is on skin colour? Why is the 'fact' "white" followed by negative opinions like "unfit" and "angry" ?
That's the question, we seem to have different answers.
So we'll have to agree to disagree - I'll just post the original post below and we'll leave it at that:
Charlie is not being racist, come on man.
He's making an observation about the make up of that crowd.
Two of his observations are facts (white and old) and two are opinions (unfit, angry).
The facts (white, old) are worth pointing out as it highlights the demographic of the leave voter.
The opinions are just that, opinions. So if you have an issue with his opinions, then fair enough.
So maybe you have a problem with him pointing out the racial make up of the crowd. I would argue that one of the main stays of the leave vote was control of immigration. A large number of immigrants are people of colour. With this in mind, it's worth pointing out that the whole crowd is mono-cultural.
