That assumes that anything but a dog's breakfast is an option though doesn't it? The civil service may be many things, but from my experience rebellious would be an adjective that's a long way down the list. If they could come up with a better solution, I'm sure they would have done. Isn't it telling that there has been nothing conjured up from outside the civil service either? Nothing from Rees-Mogg's Brextremist faction. Nothing from think tanks, universities, consultancies or trade groups. Checquers has literally been the best the country can come up with.

I understand that the Institute of Economic Affairs has put up an alternative.......

McDonell proposed today that all companies with over 250 employees will have to give the workers a 10% stake in that company. At the moment this is non existent in the company I work for which means I get nothing at present. McDonnell is proposing that I get £500 per year minus 10% to the government = £450. That means I have £450 more in my pocket than I would have had. Bring it on John, quids in.

terrible twitter post that post pete, most of those people would know poverty and hardship that most today would never have faced.
Have a look a picture of Liverpool people at the time and tell me they were bleeding the country dry, infact look at the 60's never mind that far back.

Thought it was funny :hayee:

Anyway, main point was the ‘know knowing prats’ in the video.
