Unsurprisingly it appears today that the DUP will be very happy with a no deal Brexit as it would strengthen the union between GB and NI and worsen Anglo-Irish relations. Given that they are propping up May's government and that she is clinging to power, a no deal Brexit now looks the most likely scenario.

Unless of course she was to resign and call an election which might just be a way out of this mess. Then again pigs might fly.

A no deal means WTO and border checks on the island of Ireland, against the GFA. A major political crisis will emerge as the Americans have made it clear that the GFA,is sacrosanct. Her lifeline with the Americans and WTO is 'border security'. So designed in the Counter Terrorism and Border Security Bill, after the 'Putin did it', Skripal's 'incident', with the mile radius checks on the border. But time is running out to get this passed in time. That is why May is attempting to drag her feet and kick it down the road. But circumstances/time has caught up with her and she's floundering.

In a bit of a pickle.

I didn’t believe that waging war with Argentina encompassed the national mood, until it happened.....

Don't think that is the right analogy personally. Of course a war is going to garner support (at least against a traditional enemy that invades your sovereign territory) and tbf it had minimal impact to people's daily lives, no bombs were falling on our heads so it was just the few that were out there fighting saw the hardship.

A much better example would be the financial crash of 2008 or the Irish potato famine or the black death. All these events had far reaching effects that touched most of the population of the nations it affected. No one was saying it encompassed the national mood in a positive way during these times.

Floundering isn't the word. She needs to stand down for everyone's sake.

Your curt responses fail to answer the question. So an EU citizen enters Dublin airport on an EU passport and passes through immigration. He then jumps on a bus or train and travels north to Belfast and has entered the UK, whereupon he can travel to Britain without any further checks. So how have you stopped him entering the UK by checking his passport ? Proper answer this time please.
On a crap I phone here on hospital.....
Get well soon. I hope that when you recover you have wised up a bit.
just hope that on two
What is ? There is still free movement around the UK , that doesn’t change obviously.
The result of a vote that ended up the way it did, with many unsure voters being swayed due to the leave campaigns cheating and lies. Many have come out since and said they realise now that they were lied to and they want to right that wrong.

The vote was wrongly put to the public who didn't know nearly enough, and for that Cameron, has left behind a terrible legacy. Leave won, and that has to be acknowledged, but the way in which they won loses them any sort of leg to stand on when demanding that the vote be pushed through at all costs.

A people's vote on the final deal is the fairest solution in my opinion. It acknowledges that leave got the majority vote, but since the victory came through insincere means, a 2nd chance needs to be given to the people. Particularly when those in the leave camp can't seem to agree on what it is they want.
Remain never told any lies did they...

Oh yes they did..

The point is lies were told on both sides in the Brexit campaign...
8 million pound in a government pamphlet...
If that's not cheating, and project fear being ramped up now ...
What ever happened to the one off vote of a lifetime?..

You make it sound like a game show Joe. You're not winning a cuddly toy with OUT emblazoned on its jumper.

I appreciate that’s your point but you quoted me saying

What is ? There is still free movement around the UK , that doesn’t change obviously.

Because you were talking about free movement changing after Brexit , I’m not having a go but I still understand the relevance to be honest .

The bit where German manufacturing gets stuffed and just accepts it.......
You and seemingly plenty of others are prepared to send U.K. manufacturing down the toilet with a ‘no deal’ outcome.

Yet again you harp on about the impact of Brexit on a small part of a single nations output, as if Brexit is somehow a calamity for them, whilst completely ignoring the absolute unmitigated disaster that a ‘no deal’ Brexit would create for its instigator. The one who’ll have no trade deals in place the day after. Change the record, it’s not only dull, it’s laughably stupid.

Shame the UK is leaving the EU because some folk don't like Poles working in the local supermarket. Crying shame tbh.
Sums up the xenophobic undercurrent that’s accompanied this entire debacle, but I supposed at least he was honest about it. Many have been dancing around their handbags for 2 years without admitting that one of their prime drivers was Eastern European migrants.

It's a respect thing. People feel they're not respected in their personal lives, so lump together as a collective (Britain) in the hope that they can gain respect by bullying AN Other, whether that's the migrant minorities within Britain or the EU. The whining about bullying reflects their disquiet that this isn't working. Well I'm sorry, but you started the fight, so don't moan when the bigger boy tells you to pipe down.
