There’s an incredibly frightening seemingly Worldwide right wing uprising at the minute. This issue isn’t about the EU it’s about the West’s foreign policy coming home to roost after a decade plus of pummelling the Middle East in the name of democracy has created both terrorist uprisings and a massive displacement of people, who are trying to escape it. The Wests response has been a far right ‘keep them out’ backlash.

Personally I hear some of the language being used of late, that has somehow become normalised in the post truth Trump era, and I find it absolutely abhorrent. Child concentration camps ffs, what was the idiot thinking of?

I notice you didn't comment on the study I posted several pages ago showing that refugees have been a boost to every single one of the 15 western European countries studied, both culturally and economically. Instead there's this underlying narrative that these sub-humans are flocking to our cherished lands and destroying them. It's shameful.

It’s all about cause and effect. Merkel opens the doors and a million or so people come in, not families mind, mostly young single men. A few of those men increase criminality and sexual crimes, so Germany who initially were very welcoming then started to see the other side of their hospitality. Fear grew and right wing nut jobs were given the oxygen to recruit and gain political strength. Political strength then allowed them to do what ‘the people’ wanted them to do.....

You may well find these things abhorrent, as do I, but the cause was Merkel and everything that has happened in Europe over the last 3 years can be traced back to that one moment when she very publicly said everyone was welcome....

To deny it is merely to close your eyes. Of course if you believe there is another cause, then please share it.....

They accepted over a million migrants in Germany since 2015, so what’s your point?

That’s disgraceful from you Bruce. I have consistently said that immigration has aided our country. But let’s not pretend that there aren’t two sides to the coin. Some have found immigration good, some have not. What is happening in Eastern Europe I have no knowledge.....

What's happening is that politicians are using Farage like tactics of misinformation and propaganda to say that anyone Muslim is tantamount to the devil. That's what's happening. During the Czech elections at the start of this year there were billboards everywhere from Zeman basically saying not to vote for Drahos (his opponent) because a vote for him was a vote for foreign hordes. The country was there's (ie native Czech's). It was disgusting.

The latest German crime statistics show that the fear and xenophobia spread by the far right is just that. To suggest that the migrant crisis is all down to Merkel and nothing to do with why these people are so intent on risking their lives to flee the war torn, decimated, lawless cesspits that we’ve helped create is pure delusion and simply blame shifting that suits the anti EU agenda.

Everyone in Europe apart from yourself seems to understand that she started it. This is not an anti Eu agenda, nor even an anti German agenda, this is just a fact.

The ‘other side of the coin’? You mean like the jihadists who’ve been radicalised in this country by extremists who have risen up since we decided to start ‘liberating’ the Middle East? Most of whom have been shown to be British born? The mantra has become anti Islam, it’s all Islam’s fault, it’s a religion of violence apparently. However, no one peddling this line have obviously looked at the number of terrorist atrocities carried out in the West before we started our fantastic liberation mission? How many Islamic terrorist atrocities happened on our shores before the ‘war on terror’ started?

To say that the migrant crisis is purely down to Merkel is completely avoiding the actual point. You posted about cause and effect not half an hour ago ffs.

It sounds it, but don’t tar every country with the same brush. Brexit is not about anti-Muslim nor anti any particular race of creed as we allow people in from everywhere. The immigration side of Brexit is merely about controlling who and how many come in and much less about where they come from. European free movement policies merely ensure that immigration mainly takes place from countries within the bloc and is inherently discriminatory to anyone from outside.....

I'm afraid I disagree. Brexit is viewed in these countries as a movement that is very much on 'their side'. They've set up enemies as the 'liberal elite'. People like George Soros in Hungary, Merkel and the EU. All of these idiots think Brexit is a wonderful thing and supportive of their ideology. They think that if Britain and America can go down that road, it makes it perfectly okay for them to follow. This was all predicted, and discounted as project fear, btw.
