Hahaha.....Sir Humphrey Appleby would have been pleased with the note sent back to the Lords....

“My Lords, The Commons agree to certain amendments made by the Lords in lieu of amendments made by the Lords to the European (Withdrawal) Bill to which they disagreed.
'They agree to the amendments made by the Lords to their amendment made in lieu of an amendment made by the Lords, to which they disagreed.
'And they agree to the amendments made by the Lords to their amendments made in lieu of the amendment made by the Lords to which they disagreed, with amendments, to which they desire the agreement of the Lords.”

You either misheard or they misinformed you. As they don’t control our overseas aid budget or are handed any surplus.

They do however spend approx £1bn of what we pay the EU for our membership on overseas aid.
Not if you read closely LBC stated that if we have a surplus that 1 billion. They use themselves on meaningless projects.....
The EU is one of the UK’s largest multilateral aid partners. In 2014 the UK’s total aid budget was £11.7 billion and £1.1 billion of this was channelled through the European Commission.
So there's another 1.1 billion they get from us.....
going up with our GDP each year ......

I see the Home Office's plan to get EU citizens to prove they're not turds will be nice and easy. It'll only cost the best part of £200 million (assuming the cost of application covers the cost of doing the checks). This is probably one of those barriers you were talking of removing Pete.

Are you sure you didn't mean Turks? They were supposed to be joining the EU imminently around the time of the referendum. Millions of them arriving. There was a poster about so it must be true.

200 million which would have been wasted on coffe machines in Brussels.....

That may be in total, not each......

Anyway, I see Italy threatened not to turn up at the Merkel party if the French/German draft solution was presented. Merkel immediately phoned Italy to say it wouldn’t be presented, but I’ll bet it will be in one form or another. Meanwhile the Visegrad countries have also told her to do one regarding her immigration plan, where more time would have been spent discussing secondary movement of asylum seekers (i.e. those going to Germany), than dealing with the real issue of asylum seekers arriving in Europe......but it’s only the U.K. who is fixated on immigration......

The Visegrad have been consumed by racists. Not the kind of role models you want Pete.
