Do you think NATO is like this, is your army run from the Pentagon?
Well the US put the most money and resource in, unlike wealthy Germany who pay a pittance.

Pete, your main drive for leaving is fear of an 'end of days' scenario. All this fear of what might happen. All the small nations could all veto it, but it will make no difference. They will all be strong armed, bullied into it. Via economic and tax vehicles....once the U.K. is out, Ireland is totally dependent upon Brussels, as you are furiously burning any bridges you had with the U.K., and you will be told what to do, not asked, told......
except for Shengen or the Euro or a load of other programs you didnt want to be in.
So they control all the member states armies?Well the US put the most money and resource in, unlike wealthy Germany who pay a pittance.
As long as they have a veto, everyone. When they lose that veto, you'll see a lot more about IrexitBut now we are leaving, the second largest economy, the EU can do as they like and just tell the rest to either join or leave, because quite frankly if Ireland, Malta or whoever don’t like it well who actually cares.....

Gambling a stable economy and country on fears of what might happen seems rash to me.

Talk about an EU Army and tax harmonization is different to it 'going through' as you stated. Ireland have made it clear that both these scenarios would require a referendum as they would mean a change in the constitution. Other member states are in the same situation.
So, no, a European Army or Tax harmonization are not going through.

Listen lads, I dont think the EU will become a super state with one army, you both do. Fair enough.
The difference being that there was a public appetite for those unions. There's no public appetite for a Euro state. I've never met anyone who wants a super state. The most patriotic Europeans get is the Ryder cup. I think you're over reacting. How do you think the USA came about ? How do you think the U.K. came about ? How do you think Russia or Italy came about?.....
