Going well.
It's absolute madness I agree on that the gullibility of the remainers thinking the EU will agree to any thing it will be their fault if we leave on crappy terms now - so David Davis and co do a good deal and it's blocked by remain or ignorant self righteous politicians who constituency voted Out - to think if you go back the EU will give you a better deal is madness!
There's more chance of a crappie deal now more than ever it's like going into negotiations with one arm up your back ....
A handful of remainers wanting to stay in!

2. In case it did not sink in first time (and I don't think it did).

And the winner of patronising poster of the year goes to...

3. No it's not a poor comparison. Look at '2' above, and see the similarities in approach.

It is a poor comparison because for the spurious simalities you mention, there are many, many differences.

To say that the EU is fulfilling Hitlers vision is lazy, needlessly provocative and inaccurate.

But then, you are never going to agree with me on anything, simply because I voted a different way to you on 23 June 2016. Sad stance, really...

Hang on, you’re the one who says that all Remain voters are bedwetters, etc.

I never generalise Leave voters and have a lot of time for their views, but when you compare the EU to a Nazi state I’ll call bullshit on it. Not because you’re a Leave voter but because you’re talking utter bollocks.

That's my point, roydo. Things are moving imperceptably towards totally integrated European state, encompassing everything, and the one that will be calling the tune is the most powerful state within it: Germany.

Without a common currency, and without the central bank/budget/ that a true common currency demands, it will never happen.

Well, they may well try it, but it wont ever work, long term.

Germany controls the Euro. True. But we were not in it. Never would have been imo.

So what exactly, were you afraid of? The self same UK politicians that you now "want to make our own rules" could have vetoed any important decisions anyrate. We were part of a huge trading block, gazillions of our GDP was generated from trade with the EU. Now? We have chaos in the HOC, no idea what shape any trade deal will look like, with anyone in the world, utter confusion in every board room in the UK, and for what? So we leave a group of countries that we rub along with Ok, and put up with some of their eccentricities?

As Trump would say, "Great Job".

I agree that comparing the EU to a Nazi state is b* However, let me just quote the world's expert on dictatorships, Mikhail Gorbachov. When asked his view on the EU he said: 'The most puzzling development in politics is the apparent determination of Western European leaders to re-create the Soviet Union in Western Europe.'
He is right, it is morphing into a dictatorship - and it hasn't far to go.

They won't even try it. There isn't the appetite for it. Not one member country that wants to give up complete control to Brussels. It's not like there are 4 or 5 countries agitating for it. I mean, yea there are probably some MEP's that might think it's a good idea but they're in a tiny minority and even if they weren't, there's no way 27 countries would agree to it. And even if it's a majority vote rather than total agreement, there's no way 14 nations would go for it, and on the off chance that they did, the other 13 would likely leave, causing the union to collapse.

How, exactly, can a trading bloc of 27 independent countries ever be described as a Dictatorship?

Right, so you're basing your opinion on the opinion of Gorbachev?

Of course. The Euro was doomed from the start. Its only a matter of time when it gets the boot.

But the Euro is not the EU. In the same way many nations use the $ as their currency.

Yea, I can definitely see the Euro not lasting. But as long as there is still a single market/customs union/freedom of movement I'll be happy enough. So would most EU citizens.

Unless/until they centralise a bank, an economic policy, and budgets for the entire EU, it simply, cannot last.
