Perhaps, but as I pointed out earlier, I would bet that not all Remainers voted the way they did for the same reason.......

Of course. My reason was quite simple, didnt see the point of mucking about. A reluctant vote, cos I aint a fan on the EU, but balanced that against the nonsense from the lunatic fringe, of both sides.

Maybes not for yourself but there can be no doubt that brexit was largely driven by anti immigrant sentiment

Nah. It was one of a myriad of reasons. To label all Leavers as immigrant haters is lazy and does little to forward the debate.

edit. I would venture, in the closing days of the campaign, the now notorious "£340m PW to the NHS" bus carried more sway.

Please show any proof. I think you do 17,400,000 people a disservice........

‘Our analysis suggests that the idea that the referendum was a lightning rod for a rising ‘anti-politics’ tide is wide of the mark. People’s level of trust in government at most played only a minor role in influencing how they voted. Instead, the result reflected the concerns of
older, more ‘authoritarian’ or social conservative voters who were particularly worried about immigration. Any suggestion that immigration was not at the heart of this vote runs counter to what we have found.’

Amongst about about a hundred thousand other studies all reaching the same conclusion (probably paid for by Soros mind). You can state your case any way you like but the uncomfortable truth is this: you voted alongside every voting racist in the country.

Then answer a simple question. Why would people over 65 worry about immigration ?, they have no job to lose, and need people to pay tax to pay their pension.......

Also as 17.4 Million people voted to Leave, how many of them do you think are racist......

Tbf, Remain also said that it didn’t mean full political union or military union, but that’s where it’s going. The various options and scenarios are myriad, and no doubt many people voted in their minds for something that is not necessarily the same as someone else who voted the same way. But I find it a bit disingenuous that it’s only the Remainers who challenge what the Leavers voted for, whereas there aren’t many Leavers jumping up and down saying ‘I didn’t vote for that’, unless of course you can show otherwise......
I’ve got loads of anecdotal evidence of Leave voters regretting their decision, however you wouldn’t be interested.

The last major survey on the subject I can remember seeing was last year, and it showed that 14% of Leave voters either regretted their decision or doubted they made the right choice. By my maths that’s nearly double the leave majority......

In addition the most recent YouGov survey shows that there’s now a majority who think we made the wrong choice in June 2016.

My old man is in his 80’s and voted Leave due to the fact that he’s a racist and isn’t having immigrants.

Sad but true.

Just seen Sky news not Brexit but I suppose closely linked even canal narrowbosts to live on mooring places are getting overcrowded in London and Birmingham canals double parking on both sides - what people will do to avoid council taxlol
It does show the housing shortage the rich cashing in to buy a long canal boat upto 50 k if you move on every 14 days from your mooring you avoid council tax....

At the risk of saying this for the first time... it ws a COMPARISON. Read this:
BatbHt.jpg

Nowhere does it say that the figure should be used in that way. It says the amount is enough to build etc.. Ergo, a comparison. Read it properly, everyone!

And the figure was £350m.
