Merkel talking about the domino effect after our vote.

Exactly what I was saying some 12 hours ago. Glad to see I wasn't talking out my arse completely lol

So you don't know your own mind and need someone to persuade you, even if they stand for everything you want?? Sorry, I'm a member of the Labour Party too and, after Blair, I want someone who can state their personal opinion and articulate why they're voting against it (lesser of two evils in Corbyn's case I reckon, given this was Tory internicine warfare which had feck all to do with the issue at hand). Boris Johnson will spout whatever populist nonsense thinks will get him the most votes. Corbyn is always going to be under attack from the media in this country; now is NOT the time for Labour supporters to be sticking the knife in.

Spot on this

And a realistic prospect with the far right parties bubbling underneath the surface of countries like France and Austria.

So, views on a General Election in 2016?

Whoever is elected Conservative leader, and thus PM, is not going to make the mistake that Brown did in not seeking a mandate from the electorate?

Was thinking about this. Say, for arguments sake, it's Boris Johnson. Surely he would rather call an election off the back of an EU leave success?

Hmm, would take a very brave person to go for a GE in the winter. They'd also risk a backlash from those snivellers among the Leave voters who are trying to absolve themselves today. Conservatives would risk the sort of rout that brought in the SNP so spectacularly

Depends on two things.

1) If it's a Tory Leaver then the vote is likely. If it's a remainer then it's less likely.

2) Tories more likely to call election if Corbyn remains because he is a no hoper.

My gut says their won't be but it's certainly possible.

Almost certainly, Labour are regrettably a huge mess, Scotland will go all SNP, there's no chance of the Conservatives not getting a workable majority.

What a fearful prospect.

Personally I think there should be a GE.

But will it make a difference?
