He's winning sod all as I stated your gloating will end when the 2 no phase of the negotiations take place!

Apologies mate, I’m not gloating, I wouldn’t gloat at others misfortune and that is my perception of what Brexit will be for the ordinary English man.

I am happy with how the last week has gone for the people of Ireland both North and South.

Stated you say! I’d be quietly confident!

Yes because unless you witnessed it then - you can not have a clear view of before and after we joined - I voted YES and was so disappointed - their were many people where I lived that felt the same!

All he asked was what lies were told. Dont thinks thats an unreasonable question, assuming he wasnt around then.

I also give three big explanations in my reply- Food prices rocketed once we left the commonwealth - joining the common market - Purchase tax was at 3-9% depending on what luxury goods you purchased replaced by VAT that increased just to pay the EU budget { Common market in those early days}
Our fishing industry was decimated - we have been held to ransom since!

I vaguely recall the period, but was too young to vote, and didnt exactly follow the campaigns at all. But was the opposite of that ^^^promised wouldnt happen, or was it a result of the UK being in a chronic state anyrate?
