I'm starting to think the US and Britian are the same country

Thank god for this petition, I was worried that the views of 17 million people had forced us to leave the EU, but now that 150,000 people from the internet have signed this I'm sure the government will immediately overturn the result.

Phew.
I know mate. Thank me later.

Why don't you vote for a party that offers a referendum on that?!

You know... How democracy works

Sorry that was for the commonwealth issue.

We cant compare to Norway or Switzerland we are far far more vital yo europe

Because I follow the data and accept the migrants overwhelmingly benefit the UK, both in hard cash terms and also culturally.

Sky has not fallen
I still get taxed
I still work
I still pay NI

- absolutely nothing changes for me, and the majority of you lot. The mental hysterics is unreal.
I suppose on some basic level this is true.

But on the macro...the hysterics are genuine and real.
People have lost a lot of money, this will affect current job and future jobs available, healthcare can and will probably change, retirement will likely be different...

There are FAR sweeping changes that will come as a result of this. Glad that you personally are ok. For today...

Like someone said earlier, or in another thread, Brexit has basically voted for Boris.

UKIP might as well pack it in, so that nice Nigel bloke might be available in a safe Tory seat.

SNP will go for another independence vote.

Boundary changes afoot.

While I am no fan of the left wing of the Labour Party, I am actually terrified what the political landscape could look like pretty soon.

But we can now control our borders; in about 5 years anyrate.

Sake.

Goodbye UK, Hello Ingurlaaaaaaand!

Scotland defo moving out and into it's own place, followed shortly by Northern Ireland getting engaged to the Republic.

But hey if we get a United Ireland after all this time, I guess it's a good thing.

Without wishing to sound facile, isn't it the job of those in power to understand the politics and economy? We entrust them, they should do their job. When our understanding is thoroughly undermined by the torrent of lies and half-truths foisted upon us during this campaign, what hope is there?
Oh of course. But instead of getting the facts we get dozens of sources with conflicting information. How is the average person supposed to make sense of it all and form an opinion strong enough to feel confident in their vote?

This time though it wasn't the people in power who decided our country's fate, it was the (largely) ill informed public.

You could well be right. Not for nothing are the Democratic Unionists known as the Voice of Reason.
