So, what I get from this thread is everyone who voted leave are racist, doesn't understand what they were voting for or accidently crossed the wrong box. But everyone who voted stay are political experts and have dads with pensions.

Correct. Its absolutely stupid. I'm getting private messages about it!

Truly shocked and totally devastated by this decision

The economic fallout will be painful and imo drawn out.

I'm going to think long and hard about whether I stay here. Not sure I want to associate myself with what we've seemingly become

I will bet the normal working man in the street will forget in a week and probably not notice any difference.

I suppose on some basic level this is true.

But on the macro...the hysterics are genuine and real.
People have lost a lot of money, this will affect current job and future jobs available, healthcare can and will probably change, retirement will likely be different...

There are FAR sweeping changes that will come as a result of this. Glad that you personally are ok. For today...

This is a relevant point, or rather it would be if both the New Labour government and the Tories hadn't already brought in things that negatively affected current and future jobs, messed with healthcare, and raised the retirement age / wrecked the pension system.

It ultimately came down to immigration really didn't it? Most people interviewed on the street for BBC and Granada news mention rising immigration as their reason for leaving.

Theres many EU immigrants doing jobs in this country that the local English population simply won't do. All very well saying up the wages, but if the business model doesn't allow for that, then it simply won't happen.

I just posted in this thread by mistake. I was looking for breaking news that no one is interested in.

Nigel Farage said some time ago, if Remain won by a narrow margin, say 52% to 48%, then there should be a second referendum...

Same guy now saying that the whole "we give £350m to the EU every week, let's use it on the NHS" campaign was "a mistake", and that the NHS wouldn't get that money. And someone was complaining about the politicians/people backing Remain!! :o

I voted In, but I don't really like this argument. I think it may be somewhat of a fallacy tbh...
