It was in response to some one saying 72% was a poor show. Yesterday, a lot more people made the effort to vote than at the last election.

Cause the same people knew there was no chance of UKIP winning.

Its not about didnt bother to vote.

For example, I had issues with my tire, so due to bad planning on my part and a minor car issue my remain vote was wasted, my g/f had to work late and got home to00000 late to vote, she was going to vote remain, her parents are currently on holiday, both were remain, my brother was due to come back from the Euros yesterday, but due to some strike he was delayed 24hours, another remain vote "wasted".

Postal votes an option to cover a couple of those missing out?

Still can't believe Kirkby (0.01% immigration) and Knowsley (<2%) voted Leave.

Unbelievably stupid. Everyone I know from by mine in Kirkby voted out based on immigration.

Neither can I - I voted remain and I also live in Kirkby.....

Well to use my example, my g/f parents knew when the vote was, so if they cared could have planned their holiday better, I could have gone the polling station BEFORE I went and goosed my car, the missus could have told work to jog on cos she wanted to go vote, the only person who lost their vote blameless was my bro.

Which is part of the problem. Not blaming you particularly, but I'm assuming that although you were going to vote remain, you aren't very pro-EU?

Loads of people who would have voted remain when pushed didn't. If you were of the leave inclination, you would have made sure you voted.

I wasnt going to vote no, hence my delay in actually going, I had all day and due to very bad planning on my part I messed it all up.
