I still cannot believe the uk is going ahead wuth brexit

its going to squeeze your entire economy and quality of living
You say that but at least we'll have huge queues at Spanish customs when we go the costa del sol in summer, so we can show those daft buggers our boss blue passports!

Who's the real winner?

(Clue: not young people in this country, before Pete starts)

An example of where Brexit is going to be disastrous in at least the short to medium term is the white goods market.

Pretty much zero of the products in the market are manufactured in the U.K, with the majority being imported from countries within the EU, and the chances of manufacturers opening factories in the U.K. is almost nonexistent. Prices have already risen since Brexit and will continue to do so. Consumers will pay the price in a big way.

The same can be said for dozens of different manufacturing industries.

"Buying British" is not the answer.

Foreign goods which are currently cheap to buy becoming more expensive, translates to 'British goods being more competitive'. That's spin for you.

It's economic insanity. Rather than accepting that foreign goods are simply better value, we deliberately make them more expensive to make British goods appear the better choice. As you say, we're simply emptying our pockets for the sake of jingoism.

You really don't have a clue do you......

No mate, our economy will just take off. Meanwhile Germany is repatriating its gold, because they know there will be a run on the Euro in the not too distant future...........

Would these be the white goods that burst into flames in Grenfell tower. Just answer this one question, do you have any experience in a manufacturing industry ?.......

Would this be the resorts where they don't want you and are demonstrating for you to stay away.....just asking for a friend....

Yes. Multiple manufacturing industries actually. The two largest companies in their respective fields.

Shame you felt the need to use a national tragedy to point score on Brexit.
Poor this Pete.

The cladding in question is banned here, in America, and Germany. Nothing to do with EU.

No.

And I don't think it's me they dislike, I think it's more likely pig headed, thick little englanders who treat their towns as an extension of their local pub or whichever backwater town centre they inhabit on a Friday night and behave like animals because they can't handle their ale and the sun.
