This is a cynical way of looking at things, because Scottish independence, Irish unification, and EU membership all have their own cultural and economic benefits, but...

The SNP and Sinn Fein want out of the UK. Up to this point, they had decent support but not quite enough.

Their constituents just voted by a pretty wide margin to remain in the EU. If they add that proverbial hammer to their party platforms, now they'll likely have the over 50% support they need to accomplish their goals.

SF more than the SNP - the Nationalists in NI don't want the pound and wouldn't have to deal with a border if they voted to leave the UK. Those are problems that the SNP will face... (edit) plus of course the oddness in voting to leave one union that they have influence in, in order to join one that they won't.

Not sure the Unionists will go along with that and join ROI.

If you've got a decent time horizon, I'd just ride it out and maybe buy more shares
Thats the decision we face. It could be we double down and buy up a lot of what is being put on the market today at pennies on the "pound".

BUT at some point there is a breaking line where even that strategy wont hold. This rabbit hole could go a lot deeper than what we can afford.

Well if Scotland have a referendum to leave the UK it does not mean they automatically stay in the EU. I think they have to apply and then will join the queue behind Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Albania, Croatia andSserbia. Time will tell.

They probably have those plans all worked out in advance, in case someone tries to come after their bonuses or make them criminally liable for their antics.

Absolutely. This isn't a shock reaction, it was on the cards for months. London rents have become so obnoxious that even the monster businesses are baulking at it.

Get ready for fun all over the shop

Quite telling:

Quite depressing.

Y'all have spawned hot takes all over every media outlet in America this morning of how "WELL BECAUSE OF THAT, NOW MAYBE TRUMP HAS A CHANCE?!?!"

And I hate you for it.

That will be interesting are they going to stop the New IRA and it's bombing?

One would hope they'd stop if talks of a referendum started, but unfortunately I can't get inside the mind of terrorists :/
