maybe an employment model fault, low pay with no prospects?
Yes exactly I stated as a student trainee horticulturist gained city and guilds stages 1and2 then went on to do a Nebss retired as a nursery superintendent and believe me I did every dirt job that was asked of me even when totally qualified!
There has to be a goal of promotion in any job - I moved all over the country to gain experience voted for the common market hit a blank wall abroad!
My late mother and late father told me never to go into Horticulture, and they were proud I proved the wrong - I even got head hunted for my final job!

We do have universities here in the UK mate. And the highest fee per annum allowed to be charged is £9000, with the average being £6000. Admittedly still more expensive than she would be paying in the UK but at least that money would be 'staying' in this country so to speak and contributing to the UK economy.

* dons hard hat for incoming abuse from the far left liberals

Only thing I'd say is that (higher) education should be free. Almost every one of those Oxbridge MP's got theirs for nowt.

My take on that is stability.

Like others have said, no one knows what will happen if we leave. No one.

But if we stay, then other than the normal ups and downs of stock markets and stuff, the political situation, whilst not ideal, will be stable. Ish.

For me, 4 years off semi retirement, that is really important. You can accept that the world is risky, but why introduce more risk to it?

Pretty selfish, granted. But that, and my market research, (search my posts) did it for me.

Tunnel vision Mate.

Takes absolutely ages to plan for this. Look at the HSBC move to Birmingham, years of consultation. It was in the pipeline

They probably have those plans all worked out in advance, in case someone tries to come after their bonuses or make them criminally liable for their antics.

I get why people would want to stay in the EU, my question was referring to Scotland/NI wanting to leave the UK.

This is a cynical way of looking at things, because Scottish independence, Irish unification, and EU membership all have their own cultural and economic benefits, but...

The SNP and Sinn Fein want out of the UK. Up to this point, they had decent support but not quite enough.

Their constituents just voted by a pretty wide margin to remain in the EU. If they add that proverbial hammer to their party platforms, now they'll likely have the over 50% support they need to accomplish their goals.

It appears that Merseyside, Wirral and Sefton voted in. Wonder how much of the vote was anti Cameron and Conservative?

I think it could bring opportunities to the docks because they are on the right side for global trade.

The mention of Morgan Stanley gave me a chuckle and the stock market falls, wonder is the problem that the fat rich cats will find it more difficult to be fat richer cats!
