Lad i work with live on the things , shows me the most inane stuff and thinks it's great, don't even start me on some of the so called facts he comes out with, not for me at allYou're not missing a single thing. ^^
Twitter is a pretty good tool for aggregating the news. Just as long as you're aware that you're your own editor. You're not missing a single thing. ^^
I fear for employment rights.
You can all spend forever presenting isolated campaigning snippets for both sides of the arguments.
I don't think the UK will be the last to leave the EU, and I think we'll look back in years to come and think the doom and gloom was way over the top.
There's also a tendency now to blame things like food getting smaller/costlier on "Brexit" when that's happened all my life.
Experts told me the uncertainty after the referendum would mean the sky would fall and I'd be living in my mars box room - I've not noticed any difference personally...
Doom and gloom sells - the media will always lead with the doom and gloom.
I'm not going to overreact or anything, but I hope that in a few years time when everything is said and done - we'll be able to string up Gove, Johnson, Davis, Mogg, and anyone that voted for this utter shambles and lob house bricks at them.
Complete and utter meffs, them and anyone who supports their stance.
As a member of the WTO as are most if not all EU members we have the right to continue with excisting trade treaty arrangements with fellow members until others are in place within a reasonable timescale it could be up to a number of years under current arrangement s, that's if we run out of time and no agreement is made with the EU.So the clock is ticking and precisely 2 years from now it will stop ticking. What happens then? Under article 50 it will mean that the UK is no longer a member of the EU. End of. There is no way that the negotiations can be concluded within the 2 year timescale. The EU doesn't work that way. They have 2 speeds; dead slow and stop. And the idea that all 27 countries will agree a final deal which the UK would accept is pure fantasy.
So, time to get on with agreeing trade deals with the long queue of countries across the globe who are desperate to have us on board. Wine from NZ, OZ, Chile, USA etc is already far better value than wines from France; we just need to import a lot more of them!
hahaha I love the new 'fact' that all of theses exciting new lands have just appeared on the map and are all dying to buy the stuff we make in factories owned by foreigners who only have them here in order to service the EU market.According to a politician on radio 4 this is best Time since Elizabeth 1st to make money in foreign lands, he mentioned silks and spices.
Who's up for a bit of piracy.

It's a genius strategy, who needs to trade with those wealthy nations on our doorstep when we can sell all kinds to Tonga.
