Get your Irish passports now! You're eligible if one of your parents or grandparents was born there, wahay!
I've started the ball rolling this morning... Was even looking at houses over there earlier this week. Very downhearted and disillusioned today, the thought of handing even more power to the sack of **** Tories and those to the right of Genghis Khan sickens me. Plus I've got friends who I know will lose their jobs.

The eu referedum now is a box to coin the phrase.

We are on an island and a box has washed ashore. The remain voters believe the box contains something dangerous and therefore do not want the box. the leave voters believe it contains valuable supplies to survive by themselves on the island.

The only way we know is by opening the box.

I've opened the box and it contains a turd, mate.

A part of me is clinging to the hope that in the 3 months before Cameron hands over the reins to someone else to actually implement this thing, we come to realise what a god awful mistake we've made and see some sense.

how dont see how we can now go against the referendum?

Reading this thread this morning and some of the comments IMO is half the reason why a lot of people voted to leave. So many patronising, condescending comments with regards to anyone who chose to vote to leave. Making out people are imbeciles, bigoted or both, when in actual fact no-one knows the reasons for each individual persons choice to vote the way they did.

For the record I voted to remain but I'm not going to denigrate people for the decision they have come to, after all that's what democracy is all about

And 13 million agree with us, so, what?
Yes, the minority. The great British public have voted, and more have voted leave than remain.

Of those that voted, there are more happier people this morning than unhappy.

You're clearly in the minority "unhappy" camp. Sorry about that mate but you'll now have to accept it and get on with life.

but doing nothing for this money to promote culture, science, medicine

That simply isn't true. There isn't a university in Britain that hasn't said during this campaign that they hugely support the EU because of the tremendous benefit it offers to their research efforts. Horizon2020 alone spends in the region of €80 billion on science and research across Europe.

Excellently put.

No idea either to be honest, but I don't think it's a legally binding event. As it is, I know in healthcare that if a doctor/nurse recommends a course of action that is based on false information then patients can legally challenge them. Given that Farage has already said that the central plank of the leave campaign was utter nonsense it does make you wonder. The BBC have already found 'leavers' that have expressed regret...

You're hilarious. Can tell you're a leaver.
You don't reply with any logic or reasoning, just brush it off.

Congratulations on making the country take a step backwards, by the way. The £ is loving it.
Well again, the majority of voters clearly don't think we have taken a "step backwards".

Lick your wounds and stop having a pop at people who voted the way YOU personally didn't like!!

Sadly, if the economy is about to go to hell again, you want to be getting on this as a long-term hold. Historically bookmaking (and football!) survives and even thrives in times of adversity
