UK has issued it's first ever Red level 4 extreme heat weather warning.
Climate Change in full effect.
I wouldn't say 'full effect' - this is early doors unless we change our ways.

Yes.. Pretty much what the Met Office say too.I wouldn't say 'full effect' - this is early doors unless we change our ways.
Many people changing their work routine for next week that you know of?Yes.. Pretty much what the Met Office say too.
They should be. I know plenty of advice had gone out across public sector to reduce impacts on people. Not sure about private sector. Many people changing their work routine for next week that you know of?
That's your boss being burned at the stake then, haha. They should be. I know plenty of advice had gone out across public sector to reduce impacts on people. Not sure about private sector.
I wonder if he was sitting in his air conditioned office when he said that? That's your boss being burned at the stake then, haha.
A Conservative MP has claimed that people taking precautions during the heatwave are "snowflakes" and "cowards".
John Hayes, who was previously a government minister at the climate change department, suggested that fear of the heat was everything wrong with modern Britain and "the state in which we now live".
Minister who probably gets dollar from petro-chemical company.
Probably mate. I suspected that that card would be played, so I had a quick look whilst replying to @Jebus_lives . He obviously needs dressing up in full ppe and stuck in the back of an ambulance for a shift, but even that wouldn't change his mind because for these individuals, the right thing isn't custodianship, it's not what's reasonably safe for citizens, nor utilitarian principles, it's only maximising short term profits and minimising disruption to corporations, and probably only very specific ones at that.I wonder if he was sitting in his air conditioned office when he said that?
Maybe he needs to crack a tinnie with this bloke? That's your boss being burned at the stake then, haha.

We are sleepwalking to an absolute disaster this winter.![]()
Europe’s winter of discontent
Even as temperatures soar Europe faces a bitter energy crisis later this yearwww.economist.com
Are we sure it’s not a ploy by Big Suncream? We are sleepwalking to an absolute disaster this winter.
I’m a bit more apathetic about this and climate change now. It’s not being taken anywhere near as seriously as it should do, and naturally some go that apathy eventually rubs off.
As usual it will be sheer panic when it hits, and the middle classes and poor will foot the bill for a low carbon state.
While it's currently a bit mad like and I'm struggling to sleep (obviously) it was 38 degrees in Wakefield in 2019 too.I wouldn't say 'full effect' - this is early doors unless we change our ways.
